Nuvi price is dropping fast.

It is the time!

They were sold at a loptop price (350 $450-$550; 360 $550-650).

Since the "generic" GPS (such as MIO C310X) have been sold for under $200. The pressure is building up. Recently, Costco started selling 350 for $350, Amerzon is following. Last time I checked, a 360 is for ~$460. Another $50 drop will make these units more reasonablly priced.

Bought mine from ABT Electronics for $349

bsp131 wrote:

where is it selling for $350. The best I saw was $419.

However I just looked and their price is up to $477 now!

And just think that I was debating if I should have pulled the trigger when I saw it for $349! But I found that discover card offers 5% cashback on purchases through ABT, so that could sweeten the deal if their price drops.

Amazon

I bought my 760 directly from Amazon for $248 about a week ago, but I noticed that it's only available on the Amazon Marketplace now for around the same price. Supplies must be running out.

NUVI 680

I have owned a NUVI 680 for a little better than a year. The first one that I bought,(Best Buy, $999.00); took the wife & I on a trip to Seattle, about two months after purchase. On the way back, the speaker went bad, a lot of static; but not able to understand directions. I feel that this ws due to having the windsheild mount located by the rear view mirror; it got real hot!
Best Buy made an exchange with me, after insisting on talking with the manager, and the replacement has been working fine.
This Christmas I got the Garmin "bean bag" type dash mount; the windshield mount kept falling off of the window, I am much happier with this!
Did a re-new of MSN Direct, and map up-grade this week-end, the ability to check gas prices paid for any differences in cost of the unit; in the last year alone!

what $?

What price? This is about a $160 - $199 unit now, hard to imagine it was $999 a year ago.

GARMIN NUVI 200W FOR $119 AT Target

This is

what concerns me. I've been checking amazon daily for any price changes and to my surprise, the price has been going up! Silly me for waiting!

Nuvi

What I find confusing is the number of different models produced by Garmin. I am wondering which GPS would be a good match to the nuvi 350.

This should help you!

Any difference in the 785T and the 765T if you purchase an MSN receiver? I figure doing the 765T + MSN receiver you get the best of both worlds (free traffic that comes with the 765T and MSN if you need it) Because the 785T doesn't come with lifetime MSN, does it? I got a deal on the 765T and will look for a deal on a MSN receiver soon.

They are the same except for the type of Traffic receiver. You can get the 765 and then buy the MSN receiver separately, but you will still have to buy the MSN subscription. You can get a lifetime MSN for $130.

Yep, the price on my new ASUS notebook eee901 dropped $60 within three weeks of my purchase.

When I asked Amazon for a price adjustment of
voucher for a future purchase, I was told that
they don't do that anymore.

At least I like the Notebook, and Ol' Betsy, my now old GPSr.

Indeed!

Yeah, that's becoming the new reality. I don't ever see myself buying map upgrades for an "old" unit.

Nuvi 350

For what its worth... I got my Honda GPS (rebadged Nuvi 350\ slightly tweeked software) for $200 brand new in box and that included a special mount along with the normal suction cup. Talk about VALUE!!!! It does everything I need it to, the only thing I wish it featured is the ability to enter multiple routes at once, which would come in handy when I am using it for work, but not a big deal. I even qualified for the free 2009 map update and was able to update the firmware as well, which got rid of the only Honda "feature" that I didn't like (SAFE mode) smile It looks oem in my S2000 with the Honda logo and splash screen and even better now with my custom vehicle and POIs thanks to this site.

I realize that the 350 is now discontinued and becoming obsolete, however, for that price it can't be beat, especially considering it increased my trade-in value by more than $1,000 HAHAHA ok, I'll stop bragging now. smile

Pretty bad reviews on resellerratings.com. It may not be worth it saving $20 or so for the headaches. Also has a BBB unsatisfactory rating.

You were right!

TVDepot sent me a used unit and I had to fight them to get it returned.
Thanks for the reseller ratings site. If I would have seen that before the purchase, I probably would not have done it. I did leave a review their of my experience with TVDepot.
Ended up buying from BUYDIG.Com for $221.84. Got it in 4 days and the sent me the piano balck version which I like better than the gray.

Keep your Nuvi680

Garmin is ruining their Nuvi series by having some cheap LCD and speakers. The Nuvi 680 is still a very solid GPS. I would rather keep it.
