New to me Garmin Live traffic feature.

So we had some snow with lots of icy road conditions. So all of a sudden on my Garmin dozens of icy road conditions show up as well as indications of slow traffic ahead due to slippery sections. This feature may have been there all along but I never noticed till yesterday. Cool
Much Better than the old FM
I was amazed when I first used it. My old unit only had the FM, which didn't work where I live.
I was initially worried about data usage, but found that it was only about 1-2 Meg/hour. So definitely no comcern.

I don’t even notice the usage, my only beef is that the app on my iPhone can not be hidden, and takes up a sizeable area on my screen. When there are no other apps open.

Drive or Smart Link? Can't swipe up? Never had a problem on any of my iPhones.

Garmin Drive, just shows as a tiny icon at the top of my screen.
Maybe it's the -20C weather there in Edmonton. Drive is just frozen. The 10C weather here in Ontario, allows my drive to migrate to the top of the screen.

Is there a list somewhere that shows which units have, or are compatible, with Garmin LIVE ?
There used to be a purchased application from Garmin for the GPS units based weather/news app for the Garmin Automotive units, but I thought it was dead.

I’ve paired my iPhone’s Garmin Drive app with my DriveSmart 55. How the deuce do I get Garmin Drive app’s traffic info to appear on my DriveSmart 55? I’m on a route to Custom POI, and I need to know what traffic conditions are ahead of me. How do I get that? None of the YouTube videos I’ve watched explain that. Not even Garmin’s!

On my DS65..
On my DS65 in settings I need to have "traffic" selected (note says I need the app). From Apps, I can select traffic (other options are also available) and it shows me a map of my area with current traffic issues. While driving with the unit operating normally roads that have issues, show up as yellow or red.
But all this is only possible while I have the app running on my phone. If I turn the app off I get a much reduced traffic report from my power supply.
