I know I can use the Garmin .csv files to add custom POIs to a Rand McNally

But how do I load custom images to go with it?

so I had this problem and I would like to share it with you all. I bought a Rand McNally TND720 and I love it until one morning I woke up and it was not receiving and gps signal. I couldn't get it to see where it was at so I shut it off. when I parked for the night I was getting ready to return it. I turned it on on my way into the pilot. surprise it worked.

Can alert sounds and icons be added to my custom POIs on my RVND 7710?

i found the poi for ultramar pipeline but its in gpx anyone knows were i could find it in csv thanks all

I found a Rand Mcnally RND 7715 LM RV GPS at Walmart. It is supposedly the same as a 7720 but has not photo/video feature and no predictive traffic. Does anyone have one? What is your opinion?

I am hoping someone else has figured this out. I Recently purchased the $99 RV APP from ITunes. This is Rand McNally's RV GPS software. I am liking it so far. Especially using the large screen of the IPad while driving.

I want to load the POIs for the major truck stops (Loves, TA, Pilot, Flying J) for example. I have not found any POIs of these places that are in .csv format and I have absolutely no idea how to convert them into the proper format. Any ideas?

Dont have a clue how this works regarding saving multiple images to a file and having my Rand McNally Dock software upload the images. Rand McNally used to have their own POI files you could choose from and made it easy. Now they direct users to this site and have made it one hundred times more complex. Completely pissed off to say the least.

I recently purchased a Rand McNally TND720 unit. One of the main reasons I went with this unit was it has built-in Backup Camera support. I use 2 backup cameras and wanted to eliminate the extra 2 monitors in my truck cab. I figured the TND720 and a video A/B switch would suit my needs just fine.

does any one know how to add custom icons to the gps? like the ones here the .BMP files?

Custon POI Information Format for the RVND 7720

This is what I have found so far, loading POI files into an RVND 7720. I could be wrong about some things.

Data is entered in csv format. The comma is used to separate fields. It has no other use, and cannot be used in character fields, whether enclosed in parenthesis or not. Parenthesis are not used.

I am working on how I might be able to do this. There really are a few separate issues to figure out.

1. What is the proper configuration of the cvs file. I know there is an example on the Rand McNally web site, but it does not explain everything. For example, what is the proper EOL character or characters? Are quotation marks allowed? Are 4 columns required? Can there be 5 columns?

I would just like to know if I can download cool places to visit using the Rand McNally 510 gps? I can use it as a car gps even though it can also be used for trucking but when I try to download anything the screen just offers up Garmin and Tom tom as choices. Anybody out there have any advice on how to use this website for Rand McNally 510? Thanks for any help!!

Any body thinking about a rand macnally 7710 then think about something else. On my garmin I can load all the POI's at once. On the RM you have to load them one at a time. What I mean by that is under restaurants you have to load each brand separately.

I know how to add a POI to Rand McNally's Tripmaker RVND 7710 (all Tripmakers should be the same), but I can't figure out how to remove it. Could you give me instructions?
