Magellan talk

Multiple searches on google and here seem to indicate that there is no way to upload poi files to the Roadmate 1700.

Looking at the "content manager" seems to show that it is only usable for magellan proprietary content such as purchased maps.

Does anyone have any tips on how to upload poi information to these units?

I saved a new custom POI to the memory card. Turned on GPS and clicked Enhanced POI and it works fine. Does anyone know if those are stored on the GPS unit for future use or do I need to keep the Memory card installed. The GPS is an office GPS and I dont want to leave my Memory card in the GPS Unit.

Is there anybody who has a Magellan GPS unit working with a rearview camera? I got the RoadMate 9055-LM, but am not able to get it to switch to my video input. I called their tech support and they said that the only thing they can guarantee is that the units work with their own wireless cameras, not with any others. I know that the camera works because I can output it to a TV.

I just acquired a Road Mate 3120 unit, but it didn't come with any of the POI Editor software mentioned by others discussing installing POIs into their Magellan GPSs.

Is there a place where a step-by-step for neophites might be listed that will work with my unit?

Anyone know when are new magellan 2011 maps coming out?

My Magellan Roadmate 3065 arrived with serious logic flaws and I returned it. I am now considering a Roadmate 3045 or 3055. Can I download POI red light camera files to these units?

Can red light camera files be download to my Roadmate 3065?

Just purchased this unit.The magellan web Help? is not much use it seems.
The unit has a mini-SD slot..there is no reference to it in the manual.What is the value ie,.can it be used like one on the Garmin units.

I like the large size but I cannot convert any of the poi's on this site to run on it.

Read carefully: FREE lifetime means that you get map updates for 3 years only.

I updated the software to 3.11 on a Magellan Roadmate 1470, since the upgrade my display setting are turned all the way up on the GPS, display hard to read in daylight, before software upgrade, the display had no problems, Magellan said to send the product in for repair and is out of warranty.

trying to get a video player to work with the roadmate 1700, anyone have a clue...?

Has anyone actually installed a miopocket and tried to uninstall it? Just curious before I install it on my Roadmate.

my gps is dead i try to turn it on and they show up the magellan screen and them he turn off. so i don't know what's going on with this.i ,am new on this thing i need help thank you

I bought a Magellan Roadmate 3045, $98 at Biglots and I had a 20% off coupon, so about $80.

I bought it because of the lifetime traffic.

The unit is OK, the lifetime traffic seems to work much better than my Garmin lifetime traffic and way way better than my old Magellan with traffic.

I have a Magellan RoadMate 3045, I subscribed this morning to download the RLC POI's, and downloaded them.

I can't find the CD for my GPS, but I managed to download the Magellan POI file editor from a link posted in this forum.

I converted the .csv's to .MGLN's, and hit transfer but that just comes up with a save as dialog.
