won't take the address ? (Magellan 9020T)

I have the Magellan Road mate 9020T LM
I was trying to put in an address but when I got to the that screen most of the numbers were grayed out?
I know it is the right address .

Try a reset
I'm not familiar with the specific GPS but I would suggest a reset. You might have to look through the manual to see how that is done as it seems to vary from model to model. I had that problem with the truck map in Aus, could not select addresses the map said were not rated for the vehicle size,
165 feet long 221 tons
It was a map error, selectable addresses were inside ranges where other addresses weren't, you had to drive over the impossible to reach the possible from either direction, and I had dropped at all those places before
is the vehicle settings in the gps larger than "car"

If I do a reset I will loose
If I do a reset I will loose all of my addresses.
I hope to find an other way.
