In danger of losing your windmill?
Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).
Anything to keep your windmill alive.

Just got back from a 430 mile day trip to NW Iowa to Spirit Lake IA for I had noticed that the Sioux Indian massacre of 40 white settlers was not in the Historical Markers Database. We had a great lakeside lunch and came home.
Tough grind during rush hour.
Unfortunately my GPS didn't understand the concept of dead-end streets and sent me down several in a failed attempt to guide me onto the nearest highway.
Guess I'll have to write the manufacturer and ask them to correct their maps ...

Me and a couple of friends just got back from a 5 day motorcycle trip from Tucson, AZ to Laughlin, NV. The GPS (Nuvi 1390) worked well, as usual, but I just upgraded to a Nuvi 2797. I'm looking forward to breaking it in on a 3500 mile motorcycle trip to Canada in August.

Recently, an old friend and I went on a tour of the "Four Corners" area, where New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona all meet at a single point. I bought a Garmin 3597 just for the trip, and I pre-planned our routes and loaded them onto the 3597. Our first stop was Chaco Culture National Historical Park. After our tour of the park, the new GPS quickly guided us to the middle of nowhere, dirt/sand/dust tribal roads on the vast Navajo Reservation to the point of a road that led to a fence and no farther. We eventually found our way out without the help of the 3597, but instead of returning to US 550 to Bloomfield, we wound up to the west on Highway 371 to Farmington! All was good from then on, but had the weather been poor, with muddy roads, who knows how long we'd been out there. The rest of the 1400 mile trip was beautiful, visiting six National or Tribal parks in four days.
Summer summer summer
Took our hounds to a dog show in Reading,MI.
Washington, DC to Wallingford, CT.
Lots of very annoying unattended radar with no speed display I think to spook you to slow down before construction zones.
Was impressed for about 5 minutes and then left!

I'll be putting my new toy to it's first ultimate test with the 1600 + mile trip
