I just update my Nüvi 250W from 2.80 to 2.90 and the problem of having the first line appear two times sometimes in tne Extra POI's is now corrected.

Using the 680 today and trying to compare it with the 660. So obviously, I am paying lot of attention to the details while I am driving around. Punching all kind of buttons etc.

I have just started installing POI's on to my Nuvi 660. I have been loading the Redlight Camera poi for starters.

First I did just the redlight-camera.csv file (no bmp, or sound file). Everything worked great. Next tried loading with a .bmp file. My third try I loaded with a .mp3 file (which I think is cool instead of hearing the bong-bong).

Has anyone tried manually editing the current.gpx file on the Nuvi, or even using EasyGPS with this file? I had some data I wanted to change, and found that if I edit it either by hand or with easygps, it dosen't actually update the current record, but rather makes a duplicate that contains the extra info.

I decided to check the Satellite stats on my nuvi 750 and I was impressed. 12 foot accuracy 95% of the time.

I was using the Nuvi 650 today and managed to lock it up.

I pressed the bottom right button to pop up the turn list just as we missed a turn and the Nuvi went to recalculate a route. I wonder if it was just a fluke or if it is reproducible. I'll have to try it again.

My Mom's neighborhood in Michigan is filled with streets named "Whitburn Dr" "Buckhaven Dr" etc - you know, "Drives". Obviously a Dr in the name means it's a drive, and that stretch of pavement isn't actually a Doctor. Everyone was laughing when it would tell me to "turn right on Whitburn Doctor".

I have a nuvi 260 which I purchased about 3 weeks ago. It has text to speech. I have not used it for about a week and today when I used it, it did not specify the street names, all it did was say turn R 500 feet, etc. I know it works since I have heard it say the street names but now it is not.

Can someone help with this. I have a C340 and when I save a location to my favorites I have the choice to change the icon. There are about 3 screens of icons and I can't tell what any of them are. Can someone tell me where I can get a copy of these icons so I can tell what they are. It would be nice if garmin had a bmp etc that shows them clearly. Thanks

I bought my wife the gps and I would like to configure it in such a manner as to organize certain addresses in groups ie. Family, Friends, Work, Personal Business, etc... I entered a number of these into the Nuvi and see them in the current.gpx. I have tried a few different attempts but have yet to figure it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Seems the only way MSN direct feeds info to your car is when the receiver is plugged in to the car battery. However most cars cut off the connection to the cigarette lighter when the key is out.
Wondering if anyone had tried to use a indoor adapter for the receiver, and if they did recommend which one and where to buy one.

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 350. So far I love it. Has anyone used the Waas feature? Does it really help with accuracy? Are there any downsides to turning it on?

I recently purchased a Garmin 250W... yesterday, in fact, from Best Buy up here in the Great White North.

I chose this model for a few reasons... great $299 price, wide screen, ease of use. I looked at the dizzying array of Garmin models but quickly realized I didn't need all those bells and whistles. The only feature that would've been nice is text-to-speech for it to announce street names.

My wife and I are leaving in a little while for a trip to CA. The nuvi 350 is going to be carried on for the flight, then immediately unpacked for the rental car. Instead of taking all of the cables, I simply pack:

Nuvi USB cable
USB-DC car charger adapter for iPod - $5 at wal-mart
DC-AC wall charger adapter - $5 at wal-mart

I have found a POI file on here that I would like to download but I am given 4 options on what type to download. I am not sure which on to download. can some one help?

Garmin CSV - regular line breaks
Garmin CSV - nuvi 350/360 line breaks
Garmin CSV - no line breaks (easier to import)

I just got my nuvi 680 and am sort of new to this. I've a question regarding installing custom POIs. If i have two custom poi files, and coincidentally each files contain a poi that has exactly the same name and coordinates....so will one overide the other or they both will show up on the gps screen? Hope this makes sense.

Can some one download a better voice with TTS for Nuvi760? The quality of sound for TTS voices in the unit is so bad, not like the standard American English one.

Just got a 680 delivered today. MSN setup and all is fine and data is building up slowly.
Question is this, when I am driving to a destination, under the + sign on the map, there is a little icon with clouds and flames (sort of). When I click on it, it says "no matches found".
What the hell is that icon do?

I had bought a c340 from best buy the weekend of thanksgiving for 299, after going back a few times my girlfriend got it for 205 using price match from a company called comp u plus's pricing, so if anyone out there paid what I paid go online print out the price they will match it for 30 days as many times as you see the price come down, she has brought the price down 3 times already!!!
