On most phones, when you
On most phones, when you connect, the phonebook gets temporarily sent to the GPSr and then goes away after you disconnect the phone from the GPSr. That is how it works with the c550 at least.

AFire is right. When you connect, your phone book is accessible on your 660. Very convenient.

Garmin 660 and Treo
Hi, I recently purchased the Nuvi 660 and also have a Treo 755p. It wasn't on the list of Bluetooth compatibility, but they found each other and are working nicely together.
Like you, I cannot access the phone book. Maybe it is because the Treo is a different animal than most other phones, so that function is not compatible.
Maybe there will be a firmware update that will remedy this.

With a Treo, you can send individual contacts to the nuvi via bluetooth either individually or by category.

I am just kidding by the title. I guess Garmin would have to state that it isn't compatible if not all features work as intended. I am sure that from a programming point of view, that a treo's phonebook is a completely (and better) difference beast from your typical cell phonebook.

When is something compatible, when marked not compatible?

When is something compatible, when marked not compatible?
When it is a cell phone and the Nuvi 660. You should understand that almost all bluetooth enabled cell phones will pair with the 660. But you loose features, because certain models save the things like the phone-book stored in different formats. Your Nuvi can't read the format the (not compatible) cell phone is written in, so it is listed as not compatible. At least that is what my IT guy said at where I work.

You might be able to use this procedure to get the contacts over.
