Garmin talk

I get a lot of speed alerts, red across top of screen and an audible warning on my 360.

I don't have the red light camera poi file loaded but have a few other.

Nowhere in my instructions or searching the menus can I find what these alerts are about.

Anyone shed some light?

A friend of mine has nuvi 660 and has a spaceship as his vehicle, I have c580 where can I get the spaceship? I already downloaded all of the icons from garmin site, but the spaceshi is not there

I am shopping for my first car GPS. After reading a lot of reviews, I like the Garman Nuvi series, particularly the widescreen models. I do not need preloaded maps of anywhere other than North America, but I want turn by street name, Bluetooth, FM transmitter and some sort of traffic warning system.

Can anyone help me import a CSV such as found on this site into Garmin's Mapsource program? I want to load the CSV and view/edit the data in Mapsource.

Now that the Garmin Garage is expanding with the "12 vehicles of Christmas," which "vehicle" does everyone use?

I've used the standard triangular arrow, and recently switched to the 3D arrow.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I finally got my gps-I decided on Nuvi 750. I was even initially impressed it somehow located where I lived even though it was only powered up indoors-strange. Anyway, not sure how to edit the home location as far as an actual street address. Anyway what I am impressed with is how well it knows where you are, even on an entrance ramp on freeway versus actual freeway.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Just a general FYI. If you have a Blackberry synching up to a Corporate Blackberry Server, the Blackberry won't then sync to the GPS for the Phone Book. You can still answer calls, etc. That same type Blackberry, without Corporate BES Server linkage will display the phone bool with no problem.

Can this be fix? When listen to mp3 while navigating, the redlight mp3 sound alert won't come on. It just skipping the song instead of sound the mp3 alert that I load. The visual redlight alert came on but not the sound. If I don't listen to mp3 while navigating the redlight camera sound alert work fine. Can we do anything to fix that?

I had a Streepilot 2820 and just moved over to a SP 7200. I love it and esp like that it can handle my MP3s and run the XM radio. Since I have XM already plugged in and running, I added the XM Nav Traffic and Weather package. Problem is... it seems pretty wimpy. The weather portion is great ...

Does anyone know why the point of Interest show as Dots on my Nuvi 200? How can I fix it? Any light? Thanks

I uploaded my point of interest, however they are showing as Dots on my Nuvi. Does anyone know why? How can I fix this problem. I uploaded the POI files and made the necessary changes to the Icons and Alerts. I hope I did it right. Can anyone share some light. Thanks.

does anyone know if the lg 9800 is compatible with the garmin 660 as I am looking to buy the garmin unit?

I am trying to find the proximity alerts on my garmin nuvi 200 do I have them? I have custom poi's that I downloaded from here and do they show up on my map when I drive close to those areas and does an icon show up how can I do this on the gps nuvi 200 frustrated...

I just bough my nuvi 200 love it! but trying to get alert poi's on my maps so when I approach a starbucks in the area or another poi it can notify me...how do I do this? and will the bitmaps show up on the maps when I approach around them? any help is appreciated!

I just noticed tonight while driving at night I have
2 dots pinpoint very small on my screen that do not
move. I think they are green and blue. Should i return
the unit and exchange it? Its only a couple of weeks
old and I really like it.

I have a Street Pilot c340. I really liked the POI for the rest areas here, as it is much more useful to me to have the route the rest area is on in a list box, rather than a nearby town listed (like in the default rest areas) and not be sure if the rest area is on my side of the interstate.

The latest Map from Garmin (2008) still has a lot of Streets and Highway exits not listed, even so, they are already 10 years old. Why can't they have accurate maps like Google or Expedia.com or Mapquest???

Could someone share information with me about Custom POI's on a Nuvi?

Recently, I purchase a Nuvi 650. I created some custom POI's and associated icons. When driving about locally, the icons do not appear automatically on the map.

On the Nuvi, when I select "Custom POI", then a single location, and then "Map", the single POI and icon will appear.
