Weird thing I noticed with satellite reception

Has anyone else noticed this? If I have been playing in simulator mode and I set my location to a place very far away from where my GPSr got it's last fix, it takes a much longer time to get a "real" fix the next time I turn it on. It doesn't seem like that should affect anything since the antenna was close and satellite reception was no way involved in sim mode. It seems to act like I physically went to the place I set my location at in sim mode.
I agree ...
that does seem to be the case.
can't explain it though!
SIM mode
Even though you have not moved, in simulation mode, the unit itself thinks it moved, and when you turn off the unit, it will assume it's at or near where it last was when you turn it on again...the time to fix to the satellites is just the unit syncing back up with reality...and it's working as designed. One of those 'personality' quirks of the technology.
