Just a general FYI. If you have a Blackberry synching up to a Corporate Blackberry Server, the Blackberry won't then sync to the GPS for the Phone Book. You can still answer calls, etc. That same type Blackberry, without Corporate BES Server linkage will display the phone bool with no problem.
My guess is
With the BES, the phone book is hosted on the server and the Blackberry is a simple display device. With the Blackberry Personal Internet service, the device hosts the phone book, and you can sync with one on a computer.
