i have topo!gps usa disc version 2.6.8 will that go on the sd card for the c330 and if so how do you do it ,i cant seem to quite figure it out it is an older disc i know but if i cant get it on the sd card it would help,thank you in advance.

While traveling down the freeway today I noticed that my Nuvi 660 had locked up tighter than snot! I tried shutting it off via the power button but even that would not work so, I push the rest button under the antenna on the back of the unit and that reset it to working again. Has anyone else had any lock problems with their Nuvi 660? Software version 4.10

Hi guys, and gals.

I updated to the latest version of SW for my 680. Since then I have not been able to use the backspace key. If I make a typo then I have to exit all the way out and start over again. Anyone else with this problem.

I am really gonna feel stupid when this gets answered. When I download files they come up on notepad, what then. They won't copy/paste, what do I do.....Go ahead make your day.

I have just bought Nuvi660 and I am trying to search POI along the way or at destination. I select "Where to" and then clik "Near" at the bottom of screen. It showed 4 option the pick.

o Where I Am
o A Destination to Pick
o My Current Route
o My Destination

I have carried out the speed camera downloads and converted the voice alerts to mp3 as your recommendation, but I only get the standard alert sound, not the voice alert. Where have I gone wrong, or can't I play these on the Nuvi 660

My caller ID on the Nuvi shows a bunch of @#&!% characters...??? Anyone else?

I contacted Garmin and they emailed my the 2.x firmware with instructions on how to downgrade my unit.

I have had a 4 yr relationship with Garmin products that seems doomed to an ugly breakup. As with most of these situations it stems from a series of small things building up to the end.

I experienced this in Green Bay, WI this week where they have set up traffic circles at several intersections. When my Nuvi tells me to make a left turn and I enter the circle, it goes nuts thinking I have left the route. I assume it is the initial right into the circle but I found it entertaining. I hit several other circles on purpose, same result.

Does anyone have a source for a custom made download for my NUVI 350 that will take me on all navicable sections of Route 66 from Santa Monica, CA to Chicago, including POI's?

Ok this is probably an old question, but here goes...I am trying to see my custom POI files as I drive by with my 60CSx. I can do a search and then map it, but I cant just drive by and see it pop up. Is there a specific zoom level I should set my unit to, or do I need to change the way they are loaded into the micro SD card? Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to download a POI file into my device and I keep getting the following error message.

"there is a problem copying the data to the data card"

"the device is not ready"

I am not using a data card. I have Nuvi 350.

How do I fix this?

I just purchased a MSN Direct receiver, base on the MSN Direct Web site, showing very strong coverage for the City of Edmonton and surrounding areas.

I am very disappointed, of the eight type of services apparently offered (look up the Web site) only three are currently available, the ones that I was hoping to get like "Traffic", "Gas Prices", "Movie Times" and "Local Events" are not.

I just purchased the GARMIN 660 and tried to sync-up with my cell (Samsung-sch a870) - I contacted GARMIN's help desk who said if it is not on their Web-Site as an accepted unit then I am out of luck (not those words exactly). I was just advised to wait with no idea of knowing if it is on a to-do list.

i recently purchased a new garmin nuvi 680. can the POI files from this site be loaded onto the removable SD card instead of internal GPS memory?

On our recent visit to the Tucson/Phoenix area our Garmin was taking us on all the back roads. I check the route both on fastest route then on shortest route. Both routes were the same...off the highway.
I turned the unit off and back on to reboot, but still nothing.
Finally I hit the "restore settings" and boom, the highway route appeared when I put in our destination again.

Is there a way to turn off the beep when typing on the Nuvi 750? It's really annoying....eh?

I just got a new Nuvi for me, and am giving the spouse my old one... Is there a way to transfer my favorites easily?
