I have a Garmin 255w GPS unit. Have done and downloaded I believe everything right. I download the alerts and the Loader says I have updated 3,089 sites successfully. When I check the info inside the Garmin it was updated the last date/time. If I darg and paste the update to the Garmin will it work? Help in Maryland

My dc (Car) power cord got cut in half (don't ask) and I found it is a 9 conductor plus shield. There are, however, 2 reds and 2 browns. How do I know which red goes with which,and which brown goes with which or doesn't it matter? My guess is it doesn't matter but would like to get some verification.

I have a Nuvi 1300 with lifetime traffic. How can I find the service coverage areas to best utilize the device and know if it will work where I reside? I have the cars incons on the Nuvi when driving, but shows green when rush hour traffic?

How do I delete or remove a Set Location on my Garmin 855

I am trying to remove old POV files from the memory card with the POV loader from Garmin. I was able to unload the files form the GPS nuvi 265WT but not from the card.

Any suggestions?

I'm planning on getting one of these, but I want one with new maps and new firmware....How can I tell? Is their a serial number or something (date?) that indicates a new batch?

I bought a 755T in March this year. It had 3.8 on it, no problems. Updated it and got 3.9.You all know about 3.9 problems. I called Garmin, told them all the new problems since 3.9 update. No problem, just send it back, that is what Andrew said. So I did. In about a week I had a new 755T. (I now have 2 complete 7X5 accessories). First thing I did was to see what I had. It was 3.9!

I usually don't use Mapquest other than to load Topo maps on my Nuvi 260.
Today I decided to make a backup of my favorites using MQ.

After loading my latest custom POIs to the unit, I decided to see what they would look like on MQ, so I ran POI Loader again, but choosing the Mapquest option instead of my normal Custom Folder.

I have the HD Dealers POIs on my Zumo 550 and also put them into my Nuvi 1450, the Nuvi won't alert when I get close, I've reloaded them, I tried 5 miles even 2 miles but they won't alert until I've driven to them and then I have to be right on top of them. Any ideas?

I need help! This morning I can't open my WebUpdater, it prompted "unable to create a temporary folder to extract to." The same goes for my POILoader and USBDrive. I have Window Vista, using WinZip Self-Extractor. Please help. Thanks! ( I have no problem before )

I have a frustrating problem with my new Garmin 255W. It tries to direct me off the interstates and major highways onto backroads and smaller highways. I have changed the setting from "fastest" to "shortest" and back again and nothing seems to help. This is when I know where I'm going and the most direct way is the interstate. Please help!

Anyone using the ecoRoute HD module? If so how is it performing for you? For those that are unfamiliar with this addon below is a site explaining it.

I recently updated the file on my 265WT. This one was the most recent update that my webupdater found. It contained an update for the blutooth functionality. After the update my Motorolla pairing had to be redone as the preovious pairing was wiped out. Beware.
