Garmin talk

I would like to know if anyone in the group has a route to the Palomar Christian Conference Center (San Diego county, California). I have basic directions they have posted online, just checking to see if anyone has a route.

I'm looking for a 4-door C230 Vehicle graphic for my Garmin.

Are there any guides out there for creating this yourself? Otherwise, does anyone know where I could find that .srf file?

I am a new member who just downloaded Harley Dealers POI and wanted to take time to thank the member who put the time in to set this up. I do not know if you are allowed to use names but will watch posts to tell him later. RICH

I purchased an update for my 255W last May and was checking on my dashboard and it shows it will expire this May 1st.

Does this mean I could still download a copy of it and save it on my pc in case of something happening to my garmin?

Is there a way to run a route on the Nuvi 350 to see if POI alerts are working before getting on the road? I have loaded them before trips only to find out on the trip that they aren't working.

I know there is a simulate mode, but is a POI alert triggered just as it would be in the Navigate mode?

Has anyone tried custom POI on Uconnect 8.4N?

I have a 560 Dezl and have loaded Poi,s many a time but this has me baffled. I go into the poi file and removed the previous.gpi folder leaving the NTTS file which is the truck info. Reload my new file and the old info is still there. Can't see any other .gpi files anywhere must be hidden anyone have suggestions?? Dennis

Several stores have the new Garmin 3590 LMT for purchase.

I deleted all Favorites from my my 2460 (Where To | Favorites | All Favorites | Delete) but when I look at it with Basecamp it shows two WPs remaning, one "regular" named WP and one named "001" where I saved a current location to use later. I've checked the GPS and can't fine either one. Where else are WPs saved in the GPS?

For anyone that is interested, Costco has the Garmin Nuvi 2350LMT on sale for $139.99. It has a 4.3" screen, lane assist, junction view and comes with Lifetime Maps & Traffic. Don't know if this is a good price or not. I found it in the Costco online-offers.

I have a number of POI files stored on my computer that I have downloaded to my 3490LMT if I want to update only the Red Light & Speed Camera ones, must I download all of the others also?

Just a note for anyone that uses the older IQue M3(I am not sure if the same holds true for the M4 or M5)....

After some real world testing in the Fort Myers area of Florida with my new fully updated Garmin unit.

I have a few rants and raves about the operation of the Garmin device,I have previously owned and used the VZ navigator from Verizon Co.

Still experimenting with the 3490LMT and have learned a lot from the posts on this site. A question now arises pertaining to the trip computer. It contains a fuel cost figure. Where does it come from and how do I get it to calculate correctly?

I found a folder titled reports and it contains a protected excel report called mileage is this where the trip computer is getting its fuel info?

I am new to the forum and downloaded and installed a combined rest area POI file yesterday that covers just about everything. Is that as accurate as the state POI files only. Is there a limit of POI files that you can install on a Nuvi 350?

I have a older nuvi 350 and came across this web site last week. Read the garmin talk items that were very old (4 years or so) on the 350 , but they helped in getting our unit updated. Now have 4 poi files on the 350 and it is working great. The only bump I had was loading the Flying J travel centers POI. Found the web site, thanks to POI factory that converted the gpx file to csv.

was takeing a trip. I entered a Destination I had my streetpilot c340 set for avoidence of unpaved roads & also set for shortest route. It kept trying to send me on unpaved roads. Has anyone else had this trouble

My kids accidentally deleted all POI. I do not have back up. Where and how can I reinstall all POI. Thanks
