Hi all.
After performing a map update to my nuvy 1490lmt I found
that the files gmapprom.img and gmapbmap are both winzip files.
Since I'm running out of space, can I delete both files?.
Thanks in advance for your help.

No.
One is the basemap, and the other is the main map. You may have Winzip associating .img files with it.

On the next update, you'll need to move the maps to the SD card. I believe this option is given when the map no longer fits on the unit.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to offer more complete advice, and instructions.

In the short term, move the CityXplorer maps and the .UNL file to X:\Map on the MicroSD to open up a bit of space on your internal memory. In the long term, Garmin's updater software will automatically put the maps on the MicroSD if they will not fit in the internal memory. However, you should know how to manually transfer maps using MapInstall in case of issues.
