Looks like Garmin got rid of LTM. Cheap bastards who needs them anymore. I never use my old one anymore. Thank god for Google and Apple maps.

Garmin still offers free map updates for "current" LM or LMT models, but what is considered current is up to their interpretation.

Just another step in Garmin's strategy of backing away from the automotive GPSr market.

Bad news for those of us who still use "older" models.

Also of interest I have a 265wt from about 2009. It didn’t come with lifetime maps but I did purchase them separately and to this day they can be updated.

If the unit is not on the list of devices Garmin has "terminated" it will still get updates. As I pointed out in the current map update thread, all six devices I own received their map updates, and four of them are positively ancient in tech terms. Now, junction view? That's a different story. Two units don't get junction view files anymore because they use full-screen junction views and Garmin stopped delivering them to almost all devices.

I have two old nüvi 760 models. I updated the maps on both of them less than a month ago.
