I want to transfer GPX files into my Garmin nuvi 260, and I can't get the POI loader to install on my Windows 7 OS.
I have read the discussions on this forum and have tried to run the install as admin and the file keeps telling me that "this is an unspported OS version. This application required Windows XP SP2 or greater." I even updated my Microsoft.net Framework 4, and still no luck.
Does anyone know another solution that could work?
Uncheck XP compat?

Have you tried saving the install file and then running it?

Unchecking XP compatibility works
I unchecked the xp compatibility option and ran the install as admin and it worked. Thanks a lot! This little inconvenience took so much longer than expected.

That's great to hear. Thanks for the report. I think we've finally nailed down the issue.
I think you'll find a lot of useful material here at The Factory.
But before trying too much, please consider backing up your GPS (Beginners' Exercises 1-2):
