Your nuvi 660 manual is your friend...
You can find it on your nuvi, and also the Garmin website: http://www8.garmin.com/manuals/1262_OwnersManual.pdf

Here's the link to the SP c550 manual on the Garmin site. http://www8.garmin.com/support/userManual.jsp?market=4&subca...
FYI - if you register your unit on the Garmin site you will have a direct link to everything related to your unit.
Manuals- Not the answer
Manuals as those that exist for GPS, everyone should understand are not the answer for many questions and for many people who have questions.
Yea, I know, first RTFM. Everyone should but the reality is many don't and for many who do, the manual doesn't do a good job of answering the specific question someone has.
For instance the thread starter asked "what is Screenshot on and off?" The page reference given says what screenshot is - not the answer to the question.
Simply put the on/off setting of these features is so that the use can more closely control the operation of their GPS. For instance the screenshot feature could accidentally be triggered by the user when the feature is set to on.
Users of the 660 might contribute why they set these features wither on or off. In the 760 I have I've turned screenshot off because the camera icon is annoying and I never plan on doing anything with the screenshots it takes.

I guess i have to ask, if you don't know what it does how do you know your not going to use it?
Anyway I did a search of the Garmin sight for you, then did a cut and paste of what I found for you.
Question: What is the purpose of the screenshot feature on my unit?
Answer:
The screenshot feature, when enabled on the unit, will allow you to take a picture of the screen of the GPS and save it by quickly pressing or sliding the power button.
This feature is primarily used for troubleshooting purposes. In the event that you are receiving an error message on the unit you can use the screenshot feature to take a picture of the message.
Which you can later view using the picture viewer on the unit or connect the unit to the computer and email the image to support for further assistance.
To enable this feature follow the below steps.
1. From the main menu press the 'Wrench' icon.¹
2. Touch 'Display'
3. Press 'Off' next to 'Screenshot'
4. Select 'On'
5. Select 'Ok' at the bottom.
Once you have enabled 'Screenshot', you quickly press the power button to take a picture of the image on the screen.²
Note:
1. Some units require you to press the 'Settings' icon after the 'Wrench' has been selected.
2.When using the 'Screenshot' feature, some models of units will require you to 'slide' the power button instead of 'pressing' it.
As far as simulation is concerned, This feature is useful when you are in a location where a satellite signal cannot be accessed for calculating a planned route.

Screen shot
Thanks to all the above answers. I have learned how to take a screen shot. Now how do I find it and see it? The Nuvi 260 manual has no information.

Screen Shot
I did not know of screen shot on my 255W until recently. The two best uses for me are to make maps to my apt that are easy to edit (easier than google maps), and, when I hear an alert for what seems to me a bogus red light camera, I can take a screenshot and get the exact details. Not a feature I would have paid for, but not as useless as some features.

I guess i was a little obtuse in my post. My main point was that your kind of reply is what is needed for people like the original poster. On behalf of that poster, thank you.
As for the screenshot feature for me. I know what it is and I know how to turn it off and on. Since I have the 760 I could not answer the poster's question for his 660 but I thought I could help by telling him why I turned the feature off on my Nuvi.
POI Factory also has some
POI Factory also has some good message threads discussing the ins and outs of screenshots:

And then there's DeltaSly's "Screenshots - Some weird, some wonderful": http://www.poifactory.com/node/6144 , to which I add this one I'd taken over Eastern Canada at 37,000 feet -- http://i34.tinypic.com/x2v5gw.jpg
6xx screenshot trivia: If you try to take a screenshot of the map screen while simulating a route, all that's captured is the "Saved screenshot at <nuvi>:\Screenshot" message screen

screen shot
Just did a screen shot on my 750 and all of the numbers appear exactly as when I took the picture. To view the picture of the screen shot you must connect the unit to the computer and in the garmin drive on the computer there is a file "scrn" where the screen shot was saved . You can delete the pictures or leave them there. Very simple to use. Why you use it I don't know although you may want to take a picture of a map or some other screen for some reason.
