POI projects

Somewhere in my travels, I found a POI file listing all Pennsylvania County seats. I would like to see one for Missouri. I have too much on my plate right now to undertake such a project, but if someone wants to give it a try, it would only be 114 entries. The coordinates could be the State Capitol building. If anyone is interested contact me for more info.

I have a question specifically about the McDonalds USA/Canada data.

Just wondering do you keep previous versions of the file?

This file has been assigned to me for maintaining. The reason for this topic is that I have noticed that a number of downloads have been made over the past few days of this file. This topic is being brought up due to the fact that this file had not been updated in over 10 years. As I began the update, I found that a major update was required.

I have an AROVA GPS. It uses the .POI file extension. I want to convert CSV file to POI file and install in unit. I have no idea how. The file convertor programs I've looked at do not do that conversion. Any help.

I've recently come across a few Harley-Davidson dealerships that have either closed or moved. Is anyone making mods to the HD POI files that Dave817 (RIP) created?

FYI: Latest Beaches USA poi file was corrupt and could not be updated.

While updating the Schnucks Store file, I noticed that in most of the Schnucks Stores, a CVS pharmacy was located.
Out of 109 Schnucks, a CVS was located inside 100 of the stores. As a result changes will be made to both files.

For the Schnucks file,
Column C will show as "Schnucks [CVS Inside]-Alton,IL"
In column D, both phone numbers are included

Is there a list of files identifying the states still using red-light and speed cams?

According to the McDonalds website, most of the locations inside a Walmart have been removed or are in process of removal. There are 628 locations presently in the file and according to the website around 150 will remain. To determine which ones to leave in the file, it will be necessary to look at each location individually. Too bad that they didn't decide to remove all of them.

CAN anyone direct me to adding pois to a GMC 2021 or earlier. please and Thank you kindly

I loaded my MO Cemeteries POI file, and it shows 10,225 entries. It also says one of them is outside USA/Canada. What would be an easy way to find that one? Anything in EPE that might do the trick?

Trying to dl Rest Area POI.
My 2 choices are TomTom and CSU.
I have a garmin............which do I choose?
Also, how do i set proimity alert for like 2 miles?

Two new Drury Inns have opened since the February 2020 update and been added to this September 2020 update, one in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, and another in Cleveland Beachwood, Ohio.

As I work on my Bank of America POI file I have been noticing a lot of branches that are "Temporarily" closed. Also, there are now a number "Remotes" that are no longer open 24 hrs.

I'm planning to start work on a POI file for Wisconsin's State Natural Areas which the Wisconsin DNR describes as "areas that protect outstanding examples of Wisconsin's native landscape of natural communities, significant geological formations and archeological sites." I didn't realize the scope of this project at the beginning but will still give it a try.

I decided to open this forum topic to indicate the changes made during this update. The changes made prior to this listing are shown on the file download page.
