Gathering Wash. DC Metro Speed Camera Coordinates...Questions
I guess this question is directed mostly toward Miss POI.....
I'm in the process of gathering the coordinates of all speed cameras in Montgomery County, MD, Chevy Chase Village, Rockville City and Wash. DC.
It's going to take some time, but I hope to get to most of them.

How do I record an .mp3 sound file
Hi, I have a Garmin 660 and just downloaded the traffic camera alerts, but would love to have an .mp3 sound file to match the factory female British voice that I use everyday stating "Caution, Red Light Camera Ahead". Can someone tell me how to record or set it up? Thanks.

Question about Camera Naming conventions in .csv files
I searched pretty hard for this information but didn't find an answer this question I have about the way Camera's are named in the speed camera file. I notice some are listed with the actual speed, while other s are just listed as speed camera.
Examples:
Speed Camera .02300 AZ Tempe poi-factory Jan02 08
Speed Camera 35 MPH .02301 AZ Tempe poi-factory Jan02 08

I don't see anywhere in the forums where you can list speed traps but I have one for Taylor, Michigan.
Maybe we could start a forum for state by state speed traps?

How Does Ticket Camera Alert Function?
Well, I still don't have a strong enough reason to persuade me to even try using the database on this site to configure a GPS Navi to alert me when approaching speed and red light cameras.
This, despite spending several hour searching this site for detailed information.
Here is something I found when reading the faq section on the Garmin gps devices.

2 new cameras in Columbus OH
Cameras will go up Monday at two more Columbus intersections to ticket motorists who run red lights.
Warning letters will go out for 30 days. After that, $95 tickets will be mailed to people who run red lights at the intersection of S. 3rd and E. Main streets and Central and Sullivant avenues.
The intersections are the 16th and 17th to receive cameras since March 2006.

Red light locations process...
I wanted to post a little note about the process for my research for the red light cameras.
I usually try to keep up with the reports as they come in, but there are times when I let them pile up and then process them the Tuesday before I publish on Wednesday.
This week I was not planning on publishing a file, but then decided to today so that I stay on track and not get too far behind.

Red Alert Should be Red not Black & White
I have a Garmin nuvi 760 and loaded the Red Light Alerts and they are working just fine except I noted that when the alert activates in comes up in Black and White at the top of the screen as opposed to Red Bar with White Text which is what I have noticed on examples in some of the FAQ's about POI. Is there something I missed when loading the POI to get it to show RED at the top when activated?

Are there red light cameras in Monroe, NC? I go through there once in awhile; however, I have never noticed one. In the POI list Monroe, NC is listed as having them.
