File name change adds alert?

I am using Excel 2003, download a .csv file simply change the file name by adding an _1 and the poi on my gps now adds an

Alert information:
Distance 0.2 mi
Speed 1.0 mph

to the screen, the address and all info moves down. Is there some feature that is enabled by adding the _1?

old file name - test.csv
new file name - test_1.csv

I see some people add an _V also?

A number in the file name will set an alert. See the help section of POI Loader for more info on what sets an alert.

A _V is added when a POI file is verified with the POI Verifier program I wrote.

Please be aware that a _V does not always mean the file has been 'verified' as some POI authors are adding it to their file name. A tell-tale sign of it being verified is both field 3 and field 4 are enclosed in quotes when viewed with a text editor. i.e.

1. Start POI Loader and click the Help button.
2. Click on the Index tab.
3. Double click 'Alert Speed' in the left window.

The right window contains the info and several links to setting POI alerts.

excess stuff in my poi's

When I make a gfx and load it with POIloader, all my poi's have this at the beginning of them, causing me to have to scroll down to see the address and phone:

Alert information:
Distance:
Speed:

I don't want any distance alerts, speed alert, but can't get rid of this bogus info at the beginning of each poi. I tried adding a proximity parameter in the gpx file with 0 as the value, but it didn't get rid of this. I've tried using POIloader manually, and express...
