FYI only... recently I purchased the SD data card for City Navigator NT, Europe v9 via the internet (from a reseller not an auction).

The external packaging looked ok, however the SD card didnt have any Garmen markings. I sent an e-mail to Garmen to confirm that it was legitimate.

have anyody had any problems with there unit getting satelite reception at any time in wooded areas or around big buildings

So here goes. I was looking for Topo maps the other day for my New Garmin 76CSX I plan to buy in a few weeks and I came across this site.

Does anyone get a low battery warning on their Garmin? My 360 just cuts off cold; no count down to shut off (like going to battery) or anything.

I was driving and I look down and saw a black screen. I powered back up and it immediately shut off again. I plugged in the cig adapter and restarted an all was well. I don't leave my unit plugged in to mitigate battery charge memory.

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A NUVI 660 AND HAVE A 2620 I DO NOT USE. IS THERE ANY MARKET AVAILABLE FOR USED GPS SYSTEMS?

I have just purchased a new Kenwood G510 from the US.
I live in Pert West Australia .
I bought this unit because it is half the price in the US.
I am told buy Garmin Aust, that the unit will work here in Aust. But I have to buy City Nav Australia on dic and put it in the SD slot .
My quetion is , will it function ok .
Because the unit is pre programed with Us maps etc.

Anybod knows if it's possible to upgrade the firmware on the unit itself so it'll become higher model, since on 580 all they added was the weather and msn.

Is there any easy way I can convert printed maps to MapSource maps?

A week or so ago, there was a brief discussion on this board about updates for the C530 & C550 available on Garmin's website.

At least one person reported updating their C530, which resulted in some routing errors. A C550 user reported similar issues with the new update. But that is where the discussion ended.

My Nuvi 660 shows up as 'G' drive and the SD card as 'H' drive. I have no difficulty with file explorer to see G and can read and write to it. Trying to access H says 'Please insert a disk into H'. I have taken the SD card direct to PC and have no difficulty loading an MP3 to it. I started over and formated the SD as FAT32 and still get same results as above.

Just installed the POI Loader Beta Version on my PC. When I run the program, the POI Loader window opens but it does not have the buttons across the bottom. Therefore I am sort of stuck since it won't allow me to continue (nothing to click on).

Anyone else experiencing this sort of problem? I have re-downloaded the program and reinstalled it several times.

Does any know if the GDB50, MSN Direct Receiver will work on the Nuvi 660? If it will, I am not sure the best place to buy it.

Does the file need to be in the same folder or have the exact same name? I have duplicates in my garmin nuvi 360, and that goes beyond the redlight POI I installed (twice, in diff folders). In addition, somehow I have duplicate stores like Borders and I don't remember downloading anything. =P

Is it worth buying the FM Traffic receiver with subscription for the 360. Thanks

I just purchased today so quite confused. I downloaded the latest s/w updates for the 360. What benefits does MapSource give you over the standard s/w that comes with the 360. Thanks

Garmin charges $25 per pack of 5. Some would say that's $5 per faceplate. The reality is thats $25 for the one faceplate you will be using. If we could all agree on a specific color we could split the costs.

Was just wondering if anybody knew how to do this? I thought the album art would automatically show up if the mp3 file already had the album art within the file. I am using iTunes. If anyone can shed some light on this topic, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

I do freelance video, and I've been hired by a delivery company to get some shots that will help in the investigation of an accident that happened a few months ago. They want me to set up the camera in a few locations, including inside the truck, to show what the driver could and/or could not have seen.
