Just got an e-mail from Garmin stating that new beta software is available for the StreetPilot 2720 from version 6.40 to 6.91.

I've got a Nuvi 360 and love it, but would really like to see the POI's on the map like Magellan does. It seems that the POI's I put in "my favorites" show up, but no others. It would be helpful when travelling, especially how Magellan has the touch interface that brings up the POI info at a finger touch.
I apologize if this sounds confusing. I blame it on the cold medicine I'm taking!!!! lol

Is there a way to edit the displayed address? My unit will allow me to change the name, symbol, or phone #, but not the address. Any help appreciated, and thanks

Not sure if this is possible, but I have been all over the web and not finding a whole lot out there. Also, it seems as though there were a lot of knowledgeable folks here, I could get a quick yay or nay on this option.

On my Garmin C 530 in the trip information screen I have had the Total Time Info and the Stopped info display dashes after a while. It is displayed in this style --:--
Now I cant start these fields back up, without resetting my information. Can anybody explain to me why the garmin does this and if I can prevent it. Any info is appreciated. DC

Does anyone have a preference on an FM transmitter? I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 which plays MP3's and audio books and I was wondering if there are any good FM transmitters that would be great for it

Any c550 users with the current version 5.20 been able to load custom bmp's??

I haven't been able to get any bmp's to show up. Even tried using an SD card with poi's and bmp's that was created with the prior version - which worked perfectly, now the bmp's don't show up.

I may try putting the old version back on and try again.

My c330 came with the v7 map. I ordered the updated v8 from Garmin. When I do the update, will the POI's I've loaded be erased, or will they stay intact?

I just got the garmin street piolt c340. I have installed a sd card and some POI. What I wouuld like to do now is remove the POIS. Hopiing some one can give me a helping hand on this thank you

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you leave your Garmin suction mount attached to the inside of the windshield too long the rubber will bond to the windshield. I just found out the hard way (it was attached for about 4 months).....

I am used to using SD cards in cameras, PDAs, phones, etc. My question though is what is the use for them on my c550? (aside from the obvious use of pumping it full of mp3s)

i have the C330 just purchased, everything seems to work fine. the question i have is. do i have to put in a address in a town other then the one i live in for it work. ex. lets say i live in kansas city and i want to travel to phoenix arizona i am not going to any particular address in phoenix. how do i punch this in? do i skip the part that says street number, street name? thanks hoggboy03

i want to know how to make all csv file all togother, because when i first install red camera cvs file, and i secound time install other csv file, but I lost first time red camera csv file for my garmin c320....

I am in the market for a GPS and I am leaning toward nuvi 360. I would like to have some advice on selecting a right model.

Feature that I liked.

1) small size to be both hand-held and used in a car.
(nuvi 660 seems too wide to carry in your pocket.)

2) map of US

I am about to pick up a C550, but I am wondering if anyone knows what the status is of the packaged maps/poi's included with the C550 is.

I'm trying to prevent buying the unit and a week later having to shell out $75 for the most up-to-date maps.

I returned my I5 after a week because it was too small and had limited mapping functions, and I now have been having fun playing with my C530 which arrived today!

About running a trip simulation with GPS off:
Is there a way to adjust the speed at which the unit proceeds through the simulation? It seems to be awful slow, maybe even real time.

I've never really thought of this until now and this may be a totally stupid question.

Does having the c340 or any GPS for that matter perfectly straight aligned with the road matter for it calculating the direction your going such as N,S,E,W.

I like to point my c340 at an angle towards me so I can see/read it while I'm driving.

Do all Custom POI files contain proximity alerts or will that information be specified by the creator?

Is the NUVI 360 Bluetooth compatable ?

Do I have to select or enable the Red Light POIs GPS unit each time I use it? or is there a setting I can use to make it default? Is there a way I can integrate the POI’s, so it will warn me while I am on my current route? Also, can I change the alerts for this feature to give it a specific sound?
