Has anyone updated the new firmware? It says that it updated retail information. What is that? Nothing looks different.

On my 76CSx there is a "Welcome Screen" that shows when you power on the device. I have it set to show my name, my phone number, and a $50 reward. I figure that, should I lose the unit, someone might be motivated to call me and return the unit in exchange for the $50. I'd gladly pay the reward.

Is there such a screen on units such as the Nuvi 760?

Here is the problem, I will go riding sometimes for 8 to 10 hours at a time. My Nuvi 660's battery will not work that long. So I need a way to keep it powered up. I have a Cigarette lighter on the handlebar, also a Ram-Mount system to hold the GPS securely. But the only adapters I see plug into the little USB port on the side. If I use that, it will shut the GPS off.

I've been reading all over how people are having memory issues with loading their maps and have a quick question. When you update your maps via the DVD, does it remove your old maps and install the updated ones? And if you load the 2009 maps using Mapsource does it remove the old maps too or does it just add the new map info?

When downloading a POI to my c340, it downloads as a html document that states a sql server issue.

Comparing the Nuvi 760 and 780 on Garmin's product page, I can't see the difference between these two, besides about $100.

What does the 780 have vs the 760 that did not make it to Garmin's comparison chart?

Does any one know if TTS can be added to 250W, is so, please let us know how?

I remember seeing this on the tomtom 720 as a feature if you have a traffic receiver. However on the nuvi 660 I am not sure how to use this, if available of course.

Does anyone know if this feature is available in one form or another?

I just got my Nuvi 200 a couple of days ago. I loaded POIs using POI Loader from Garmin site with the listings I wanted. I see a message, successfully loaded.

My CSV file looks like this:

I'm considering the purchase of a Nuvi 750 but I've been holding off due to the negative reports involving the FM Transmitter. It's very important that I be able to use audio books and mp3 files with the unit.

Is there a way to make a POI out of you MS Outlook file contacts? Or a way to import your address book to the Garmin?

While driving on a highwaw and my CC set to 70, my 260 reads 67. I also have a difference on the total miles I have driven, less on the GPS. Which is right? My car is almost new with the orignal tires.

OK, I'm an idiot. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I have attempted to upload several POI files directly. Even with a file as small as 72K, I still get a message that there is not enough room in the GPS to upload. Surely this can't be right. What am I doing wrong? Thanks much, in advance.

Well only got my Edge 605 recently, I've currently got a 1GB MicroSD in it (temp - I'm getting a 2GB soon) I've loaded on City NavNT Euro 2008 but only UK for now I'll wait for my bigger card before loading europe on ... the maps are stored on the card, that's great all works fine.

I'm from Montreal and I would like to know if I can order it. Garmin doon't sell it on his Canadian site and Amazone too. I'd like to know where I can order this mount. Thx

I thought this would be a great chance for people to talk about any questions having to do with Garmin Mobile XT. I just recently purchased Garmin Mobile XT for my Pocket PC. I already own another Garmin GPS and many maps (not the NT ver), so now I can seem to use the maps on the XT Garmin. Does anyone know how to make the maps work.
