Just an observation.

On my trip from Hollywood Fl. to my home in MA. I have been keeping track of bean bag vs. windshield mount. The windshield mounts are used in every 9 out of 10 cars and trucks with their power cords hanging in the window, that I have been able to see. I am on 95 North in VA for the night. Also Garmin is the most used GPS.

Observating the observation

I would say you are seeing more window mounts then bean bag mounts because the unit comes with a windows mount free but the bean bag cost $25. If it was the other way around, I'm sure your observation would be adjusted accordingly. Also, your seeing more Garmin's then anything else because they are the best. (That ought to stir something up)

I have the window, beanbag,

I have the window, beanbag, the dash and vent mounts. I have only used the vent and love it. Never used any of the others, not even once.

I have the bean bag mount

on all three units that I have. I have people stop and ask me were can they get the bean bag. How about reno's earthquakes.

Yeah, like it was said

Yeah, like it was said above, I see more Garmin units and windshield mounts more then anything else. I feel the same as above, the windshield mount is free and most are going to use that until it gets on their nerves enough to try something else. That hasn't happened to me yet, I love the winsheild mount and it never comes off.

A little of subject, I went to va beach yesterday and I saw a car with 2 GPSr. The man driver had one in the left corner of the windshield and his female passenager had one right in front of her on the windsheild.

When my Nuvi arrives I'll likely be one of those "2 GPSr" cars. Mostly I'll just use one or the other but, on trips with my wife, I'd bet that the Nuvi will stay on the driver's side and, when she's driving, I'll be using the 76CSx on the passenger side. smile

Who was driving that car? The passenger or her GPSr?

Funny that you mentioned

Funny that you mentioned that, cause she was pointing to HER GPSr and yackin' at her husband/bf/friend. It was like they gave two different routes and they were arguing about it. man, that would suck! Having a "back seat driver" and her GPSr.

That's all I'd need... a

That's all I'd need... a second GPS for my wife to read, and second guess my driving even more. I can usually hold my tongue, but occasionally I just have to ask how it's possible for her to reach the pedals from way over there, since apparently she thinks she's driving the car.

"Do you want to drive?"

This question "usually" shut up my back seat driver. Sometimes, it also caused "pouting". Life is grand.
