Garmin talk

I recently bought a 2555 LM. After a week of driving, I noticed that it was no longer announcing "recalculating" when I didn't follow the proposed route.

Did Garmin drop the annoying RECALCULATING?

Our Mapsource 7 install will not see our Nuvi 2757. This is very "INCONVIENT". Does anyone have any suggestions?

hello am a newbe at this but just bought the garmin 3597lmthd am am wondering where you can get newer voices plus has any one had trouble with the garmin express ie opening the extra folder some time it opens ok other time just opens in a small box and i cant download anythink Paul

My nuvi 3597 was not on the list with the models that works with the BC20, but now i am curious if there is any other way to connect a camera to a nuvi like mine?

New owner of Nuvi 50LM here as of 9-24-2013 and am seeking some assistance with the JCV file. New 50LM came with 2013.10 map and when I hooked it up to PC, via Garmin Express, it detected a newer map and downloaded it along with other software updates..

I created some Garmin BaseCamp tutorials for a couple of forums which I read. The POI Factory has given me much information and I want to " pay it forward" to ones that are wanting to get over the learning curve for Garmin BaseCamp.

Experience users will find the Yourtube tutorials boring, but may be able to pick up a tip or two.

I am currently using MS Streets and Trips live (gps antenna) on my laptop and pumping it up to the dash. The one feature I can’t live without is a the ability to see down the road and recognize via the displayed icon an upcoming truck stop, campground, rest area, etc.

I have noticed that traffic pop up on Garmin 3597 is not very consistent. Some times it pops up and many times it does not. Does anyone has issue? I will appreciate your feed back.

I occasionally run across routing errors generated by Garmin, and wonder where to report these. For example, Eastbound from North Shore in Pittsburgh on I-279 (Ft Duquesne Bridge) towards Monroeville on I279, Garmin guideance and Junction View guides you to exit left at Grant Street, rather than continue straight to 279.

I was wondering if you put address and coordinates in from the computer without using Google map or Bing. If you could copy and paste or drag from say a file like you do pictures am planning on a very long trip and cannot get the route to take from Google.

Lately my Nuvi 765t is taking forever to access the route. It gets to 99% and just stays there. Sometimes, it gets to 100% and then starts recalculating and again getting hung up at 995. Sometimes, I get to my destination before it gets the directions. Has anyone else had this problem. If so, what did you do to correct it. Thanks.

I have a 2013 f150 that has a USB connection under the top part of the dash I want to plug in a USB cable to charge my 1450 but when I do it goes into pc mode I have read about jumping X pin with 4 pin but I do not care to tackle that if I don't have to what I would like to do is buy one does anyone know where I can get one or what I can do

I have purchased a Nuvi 50 LM for my son. I want to verify it is working OK before I send it to him in the Philippines.

When I turn it on it seems to be in a "store demo mode" with nice screenshots going by about how mice the gps is.

When I try to use it, it is permanently stuck with the gps simulator ON. No matter what I do in settings, it stays in simulator mode.

I just received yesterday the Garmin Nuvi 3590LMT. Tried it today and LOVE it. Much improvement over my Nuvi 720. I can't get my favorite poi's from this site to load. I tried using to program "POI Loader" but it can't find my unit when doing a device search. Any ideas?

I bought a nuvi 3597 lmt today and i am very happy at the moment, actually the plan was to buy the big one with seven inch screen but some times things change...
Compared with my older nuvi 300 it looks like there has been some evolution going on but there is no problem to understand things.

OK so ive setup my files and folders as follows

POI_Load (where I point poi loader to)
then a folder called friends
in which i have a gpx file already setup with my friends address'
I used poi loader and put it to my SD card, express, says POI loaded

But when i go to extras, its not categorized they are all my friends address just listed

what did I do wrong ?

I've known that I can take the Current.gpx file from my Nuvi, convert to KML and display the waypoints and tracks in Google Earth by opening the file directly in the Google Earth application. After a trip driving around a place for the first time, it's been fun for me to view the routes I took (including missed turns!)
