is it possible to retrieve a route from nuvi2555LMT and put it on a map such as goggle or Bing maps or save it as a file to computer thanks for the help

My Nuvi 205w, yes, it's old but a real workhorse, seems to have an issue. Lately, I can not download recently generated tracks to my Mapsouce s/w.

Is POI factory's red light camera app. a completely independant app? Or is it something that can be applied to Garmin Cyclops?

Does POI have to be installed separately? And if so how is that done.?

I think I downloaded the file to a folder on my PC, but I don't understand what to do with it, because I don't see any "exe" button.

if I sell a 1490LMT, can the new owner update maps or have to buy new maps?

I have the same problem as another individual in a previous forum (mskarissamarie - 08/10/2012). Namely that my Garmin Nuvi 50LM is frozen at the GARMIN screen. Yes - I have attempted to do the Hard Reset. Here are the other points of note.... I can hold down the power button for a period of time and the unit will go "off".

MapSource does not see it in my computer.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to have MapSource see it too, please.

I chkd other threads and I don't find the exact same issue, so I started a new one. I am rebuilding my laptop system and installed POI loader. When I clk on the exe file I get nothing but a quick flash of a loading icon.
Webupdater does the same thing. Garmin Express & Mapsource both run.

The HOV Lanes in Atlanta generally follow I-75, except in about 3 locations.

Southbound near Mile 252 and Northbound near Mile 247 and Mile 250. At these points, it diverts away from the main road, but reconnects a short distance later.

Just came back from a trip identical to one I took at this time last year. With the latest map update, I was routed on several roads that were different from last year, roads which really hadn't changed since them. I usually use "Shortest Route" and I'm pretty sure the routing Garmin wanted to send me was not the shortest by any means. I traveled on the ones from before and did fine.

Effective 10/1/13, Maryland drivers may be stopped for using a handheld cellphone (while driving), as a primary offense. I rarely talk on the phone while driving, keeping the phone handy in the cup holder in case a call does come in. I'll answer it quickly, briefly, and hang up. I know how distracting it is.

Is there a method to get a map in IMG format loaded into Mapsource?

Using a 1390lmt for quite a while. At some point I had to put in an sd card because of memory. I've left it in, and things were okay until the recent map update. 2014.20 and then there was a message about having an old map.

I checked and indeed there was an old map - but where?

I ended up removing the sd card and then there were updates to apply, and the map was the old one.

Since the Nuvi 50LM (and probably others) does not support custom made route maps. And since they have now made Basecamp worse, and even more complicated for even simple tasks I have to wonder who is using it and for what. I still prefer to use Mapsource. But If I can't see routes than using it to load POIs seems a bit much. Has anyone found a use for these programs with the new Nuvis?

Just FYI, I tried to pair the Bluetooth contained in my 3597LMTHD with my new iPhone 5s. I kept getting a pairing error. I raised the issue with Garmin, and they reported that their units are not compatible with either the iPhone 5 or 5s.

I have had Trader Joes as one of my Favorite Files for years....

Tonight I see an upgrade, but it's GPX only No CSU.

to let the sound work on your Garmin go to the folder option and uncheck hide the extension for known file type to not duplicate the names of your POIs and give them the same names ,,ie

Speed_Cameras_NZ.csv
Speed_Cameras_NZ.bmp
Speed_Cameras_NZ.wav

is this site only for usa and candian gps guys ?

where can I upload CSV file for the speed cameras in New Zealand to my Garmin 2595LMT in this site ? thanks

Has anyone attempted to install / retrofit an aftermarket Garmin Nuvi GPS in a 2011+ Toyota Sienna while maintaining all built-in functions such as radio, climate controls, etc? This avoids the costly factory navigation system. I'm wondering if this is possible. It has been done in other vehicles.

Just wondering if the ol' Nuvi 350 is upgradable at all to the latest map (2014.20 NA).. It has 1.87 GB internal storage as well as the SD Card slot.

My sister had this ol' 350 laying around the house forgotten, but while cleaning the garage, she discovered it and wanted to know if it is even worthwhile to upgrade to the latest map available...

We had some family friends drop in for the weekend and we started discussing their trip and what type of GPS he used. It was a 1390 LMT and he wasn't really a big fan of it (late turn directions). We compared it to my 1450LMT and that's when I found that his unit could not find any addresses or POI's and would report "map data unavailable" Map info also showed no maps onboard. Hmmm?
