I just returned from a trip out to New England. 2 messages popped up on my Garmin 1450 that I never have seen before. They started in Kennebunkport, ME. The first said "4 MPH speed alert ahead." The second said "4 MPH speed alert." I had them pop up later in other small towns in ME, NH and VT. After leaving VT I never had them again in NY, PA, OH etc.

I don't know quite what to make of this. I got a virus warning, specifically a Trojan warning, on one of TurboCC's programs on an AVG scan last night.

So I really like the myTrends feature as it tells me how long it's going to take for me to get where I want to go in the morning/evening/lunchtime. But once it tells me, it doesn't seem to update as I drive. Worse off, if I want to go somewhere else tonight (and I know where I'm going, say, to a coffee shop first on the way home) it no longer tells me what the cross street is at the top bar.

Is it normal for an 855 to save several 'Last Position' entries.

Mine has about 25 in All Favourites

So our newest GPS like all other new garmins does not say recalculating. Is there any workaround for this? What an easy fix an 'on off' button would have been..

The power cord to my Garmin Nuvi 1390 needs to be replaced.
If anyone has an an old one for sale, or knows of an inexpensive site to get one I'd appreciate the info.

The tiny wires are exposed through the cord at the base of the metal plug. Not sure why, how this happened. All I know is that it won't power up unless I wiggle it around, then it shuts off.

May be more to the built in School zones then discussed previously. Driving down 58w about 20 miles before you get to Emporia VA.Anyone who has driven this route knows not much located in this stretch.

Do any of the new Garmin Nuvis display next street up? Not those visible at some zoom level but on one of the display bars top or bottom when not on a route.

I know FAT32 formatted SD cards will be read by the Nuvi but has anyone tried formatting a card using exFAT? Haven't gotten around to it and was wondering if it was a compatible file system (yet).

I own a Garmin 1490lMT. Will the latest map update and new large JCV files fit on a 4gb card or should I use larger card.

I have a brand new 4gb card that I would like to use if possible.

Where can we find the current version of Garmin Map Updater (the reliable software that predates Garmin Express).

The most current version that I have is v 3.1.20 and couldn't find anything on the Garmin website, but I recall they have it in an unadvertised location.

What I have seen so far is the Watch ones are a bit difficult to use with their functions (to small), the Binocular type,,,I shake to much...lol

I was looking at the information on line about the Garmin Nüvi 3592LM, which is an Android-based Garmin Nuvi. Granted, it is not available for sale in the Unites States, but perhaps it will be in the future. Anyway, would this interest members here in the US?

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this or not, but all of a sudden my nuvi 1250 has started acting a bit strange. If I am going less than 58 MPH, all the smaller side roads show up on the screen. As soon as I hit 58 MPH, the screen changes and only shows the major roads. The screen doesn't switch back until I am down around 45 MPH. I have tried zooming in, but still no side roads.

I was just checking my 660 out and in the map info I see two things listed with check marks in both box's.
One says North America 2014.20 western Alaska,Eastern Alaska, Cayman Is. and the other says City navigator North America 2008 All. can I delete one of them or just let it be?

Is it possible to create my own splash screen? I had done it on the Nuvi 760, but I have forgotten how I had done it. If its possible, what are the size restrictions on the photo? How do I create one?
