Garmin talk

Checking something on my Favorites and found numerous duplicates, ones that I had downloaded and renamed, and ones I had long ago deleted.

This is the second time this has happened and it is a pain to delete them all over again.

What is the answer.

I have a 1350 and need to know should I use MP3 or Wav file when loading a POI on it??

Is there a way to update Mapsource Maps in more than one computer?
I have Mapsource at work but always update the maps at home. Is there any way I can bring the home downloaded map updates to my work computer?

Had this problem for a while. I let it go as maybe some of the files were actually off and it would be fixed later.

And no.. I prefer using a download tool to help it go along and restart it. I do not experience this problem anywhere else. Yes I check for updates and using the add on like forever.

I just reinstalled Mapsource on my laptop after I upgraded to a new hard drive.

After doing the normal install of the latest map, running the installer file then the set up file, I have a Mapsource up and running again.

You would think that since they are already providing the full program for download from their site for free, a simple installer would allow people just to install it.

I purchased TTN Lifetome traffic and the advertisements did not go away. After discussions here, I called Garmin support today. They verified that I needed the Navteq Premium and gave me a code for it (actually two) and a 10$ credit. They also left me with the Clear Channel lifetime as well.

They really need to ad to their website that Premiums other than Navteq will NOT remove the adds.

I took a trip this weekend after updating my Nuvi 1450. I noticed that Favorites aren't displayed on the map anymore as Names and my chosen Icons. They only show as little grey dots. Has anyone else noticed this? Is is a result of the update or did I change a preference by accident?

Hi everybody,

I have Mapsource and the maps are way out of date. Is there a way of updating them on the PC so the maps in the Mapsource database are the same as the lifetime maps on the GPS? My home address is not on the Mapsource maps but is on the GPS so that is creating some problems.

I have used my car navigator for many years but with the proliferation of speed and red light cameras I decided to purchase a Garmin 2460 LMT. I have had it for a total of two days, deciding to purchase the POI Factory red light and speed camera POI's.

So it seems the WebUpdater application and the Garmin WebSite "dashboard" don't agree on if my nuvi has the latest software or not.

If I connect with the web site, seems there's always a software update. and it appears to install it, complete with erratic progress bars as it happens. I restart and there's still updates needed.

If you look at the bottom where you can add to cart, it gives you 3 choices. The last one is 4 cents cheaper, not that that's a big deal but they also are giving you the 010-11380-00 Engine Diagnostic Sensor. About $100 dollar value. Not sure why they have done this, but i'm gonna buy it.

I need a CSV to GPX , or so it seems.

Is there a way to set the distance from an established route when searching for a poi such as Truck RV filling stations,restaurant, or other?

I received my 1490LMT and it came with a GTM26 traffic receiver. The Garmin site does not show the GTM26 as compatible with the Clear Channel traffic subscription. Anyone know if it is or not? They don't show a GTM26 in their database/search engine..

I purchased my 3790LMT about a month ago and all was fine for the first couple of weeks... and then I plugged it into the mount one day, heard a slight (but constant) hum, and got garbled noise through the speaker (almost like the speaker had been under water). When I took it out of the mount, the humming noise stopped and the sound worked fine through the internal speaker.
