Big Brother is keeping tabs on satnav motorists

I'm not surprised; it would probable be the easiest way to keep tabs on people.

The "black boxes" installed in our vehicles already.

This is probably the most disturbing comment of the article. It always starts out that way, but soon, you have "special circumstances" that begin to chip away at those words.

Luckily, in order for this system to work, GPS units would have to transmit as well as receive. Look out for new "convenience" features that require communicating with external entities, like satellite radio.... That's how they'll begin to sell it to us in this country... But who cares? They're tracking us with our phones already.

Don't worry, the data's anonymous. . . .

. . . . but each vehicle has a "unique identifying number"!

Now the price of the units will triple as all the good little sheep line up to be monitored :)

It's not so much they know where I am as they are wasting my tax dollars even studying this crap...between EZPass, traffic cams, etc. "they" can watch anyway...your avatar is why it will never amount to much
