That's it, we've hit page five, get ready

OK we made it to page 5 now we wait another few days for Garmin to get their act together and release the new map.

Should there be no new map release before the end of page 5 I will personally rant and rage on page 6 as to how unfair it is to have to wait for six pages before a new map update.

that my Nuvi 350 hasn't been updated in years because, as I understand it, it can't be.

The map certainly can be updated if you are eligible (have a lifetime update subscription), use a SD card and are willing to go through a few extra steps. There are many posts and FAQ's here that explain how to do it.

The basic process is to install the map to computer, then use MapInstall to install the largest region that will fit in internal memory, and run MapInstall a second time to put the remaining regions on SD card:

Just received my refurbed 2699LMTHD unit today. Holding off for the new map update, since it is just day's (maybe) away.

After all the grief of bad refurb units (2 prior to this), I just hope the map update has my subdivision on it. Right now, my icon is sitting on dirt!

That is what I thought, seems like Garmin is not following our protocol

Garmin said they lost the new map and cannot find it - it may have been thrown out in the trash on Friday. All Garmin employees have been ordered to look in the company dumpsters and the two local landfills. Garmin will provide update latter (literally).

So the new map is literally litter.

Well, we hope not. Of course you know that they won't release it on a weekend. Hopefully on a monday maybe? Either way, I'm ready for it. I got a week and a half before I take off to Florida for a nice relaxing visit to the Grand Kids and Wally World.

Like a fine wine, Garmin WILL NOT release a map update before "it is time." Personally, I'd rather have the fine wine.

We got a new map about this time last year. Could it be they are sticking to a schedule whereby the map will be released in the same month every year? Nah!!! There is no way that could happen. Or, maybe there is?

Just completed my route planning, set all waypoints and downloaded everything to my GPS for my summer travels so this will be the week for the Garmin map updates......happens every year!@#$ -JEP-

1.Map Update.
2.Page 6.
3 Whatever comes first.

My bet is page 6.

I have not updated my Nuvi 2450 for the last two updates...
Sad isn't it.

So many here using my wifi I just don't find free time for it.

Will have to boot them all off their IPads and Laptops and tell them it's my time.

I think it's time to change your router's settings to limit bandwidth for certain users!

When we reach page 10 Garmin will release new maps.
