I have completed the update on my nuvi 755T for full coverage CN NA NT 2013.30. Here are the new file sizes:

gmapprom.img 1.79 GB (1,877,852 KB; 1,922,203,648 bytes)

D3060080A.JCV 756 MB (793,138,402 bytes)

The download step took 65 minutes, about twice as long as normal. Entire process for download, updating device and computer was 1 hour 18 minutes.

Without my 2 GPSs as "she" has the big car up visiting in SC with both units in it! Oh well, the servers won't be as busy when she gets back.

When I updated the 1st GPS, my zumo 665, the Mapupdater was v3.1.19. I'm updating the nuvi 1450LMT now and the Mapupdater is v3.1.20.

Garmin hasn't put it up yet. I just tried http://download.garmin.com/support/2013_30/NA/JV/D3060080A.J..., which is what I believe the link should be, assuming Garmin doesn't change things up.

I used the lifetime updater app and selected to install to my sd card since it was too big to fit on the GPS itself. Now I get the "No Detailed Maps Found That Support Routing" error for some reason.

Just finished installing full NA. 13.4 MB free space left on my 250.

For some reason, your unit insists that not a single map is installed on the device. In most cases this is a result of an installed map (assuming that there is such a map) being locked.
Did the update process download all requisite files? On a 255 these should be a map file names gmapsupp.img or gmapprom.img, and its corresponding *.unl file.
Also, did you check the creation dates of the above mentioned files, to verify that those are indeed the files that had been downloaded?

It did download the new files, by the way I used the lifetime updater. It also deleted my older 2013.20 map on the device itself!

I figured this was a random fluke with my 255, so I tried it also on my 2555. My 2555 had enough memory to install to the GPS itself without a memory card.
Same result! Maps not working!

I'm not sure what is going on here. I tried a re-install that made no difference. I am trying another reinstall with the regular map updater downloaded from mygarmin.com instead of the lifetime updater.

I haven't paid attention to Garmin updates for awhile, given other GPS options these days. Nice to see that there is still support!

Is anyone aware of an easy way to see just what was updated between revisions? I expect not because the list would presumably be mammoth, but...

This is the 1st update that prompted me to install an SD card in my 750 as it was too large for the internal memory unless I wanted to select a smaller coverage area. Will see how it works over the next couple of days.

Really interested in getting this.. Let's see if my new house is in the build now. So I won't be directed to a field anymore

It took 1 hour and 20 minutes. No problems.
The JCV file is 774.575 KB.

This is my 2nd map for my 750 that was fully installed to an SD card. It works well with no indication to me that there's a difference from an internally installed map.

One more thing since this map update for me was an update to a map already installed to a SD. When doing your next update, you won't get the same message that you got this time. It'll be a much less obvious message stating something like "part of this update will be installed to your SD card." I checked when the update was complete and the entire map was on the SD card.

What's the difference in size compared to last version?

Seeing that I'm running out of space on my 660, I'd like to know that before I download.....

Good luck. Since the Lifetime Updater has had several problems since its introduction by Garmin, let's hope that your attempt now with the manual updater (the one I always use) will resolve your issue. If so, be sure to uninstall Lifetime Updater from your computer if you haven't already done so. Note that at the very end of the manual map update, you'll receive the recommended suggestion to install Lifetime Updater. Uncheck that recommendation!

As already pointed out, there may be an issue with map unlocking. But before assuming this is the case, go to your nuvi's Map Info page and see if a map is listed there and that it's checked. The quickest fix is to hope that you'll see City Navigator 2013.30 as the only map on the page and it's unchecked. Just checking the map will resolve a "No detailed map found" error.

Once again, good luck. And please report back with your results. Having this issue occur on two nuvis is quite strange--abd that leads me to think Lifetime MapUpdater is the culprit.

On my 750, the 2013.20 map file was 1,796,672KB and the new 2013.30 file is 1,877,152KB, almost 80.5MB larger.

Note that your 660 is like my 855 and you won't be given the choice with the installing software to automatically install the full map to a SD card:

but at the bottom of the web page from the above link, there are further links for installing a full map to a SD card that are worth checking into. Whatever you do, be careful in doing the update so that you don't end up with less than the full map update. I also strongly suggest you choose the "Install to device and Computer" option rather than the default "Install to device" option. Then you'll have the option to use MapInstall from your computer to create a full map installation on a SD card for use in your 660.

Let us know how things work for you--and if you don't have one now, today's a good day to go out and buy a nice 4 or 8 GB Sandisk SD card.

Installed 2013.30 this morning on my 2595 with no issues.

Updated the map on my dad's 1450T's microSD card with no issues to report, other than the usual miniscule Junction Views file.

Oh well, I'm happy.

First time I had to go to a SD card for my 265 to get the maps. All went well on the download.

That's for your 765T, right? When describing JCV file sizes, it's best to say which nuvi model series is being discussed.

Got the notice from Garmin Lifetime Updater program when I turned on my PC the other day. I installed it on my 3 Garmin units and so far so good.

Where are people finding the new larger JCV file? I can't locate it.

Currently I am out of commission due to Sandy. I run on generator two hours at a time so I'll have to wait until I get utility power back. I'll read through the thread to see if there are any issues I need to know about.

The large file is being provided during the map update for certain nuvi models, but for those that need a manual JCV download and installation, it's not yet available from Garmin.

With luck, we'll see it in the next couple/few days for those of us who need it, like for my 855.

2013.30 still shows my local Walmart on the wrong street. Navigating to certain POIs take me down a dead-end street.
