New member saying hello
Hello my name is Sam. I'm a CDL holder. I drive for a living. I ordered a Rand McNally TND720 on 7/20. It's not here yet (hopefully by Wed.) I have/had a Garmin 465T that BARELY made it past its two year extended warranty. I won't go into rant mode against Garmin here. Suffice to say I ordered a R.M. Yes I know it has been a long time since I last checked in.
I have been super busy but will always make time to come say hi to my POI Factory family.
My job is going really well and I am very happy in my work supporting the Navy with all their computer issues.

GPS imbedded in online pics.
Three Burger King employees were terminated for improper activity in the lettuce bin.
News outlets say the picture was posted on the free-for-all website 4chan.org, and GPS data embedded in the photo led to the restaurant.

Not all thieves are stupid
A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football game. Their car was parked on the green which was adjacent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard.

Searching FAQs
Whenever I come across a question from someone, my first thought is to point them to a FAQ, if one exists. But, it is hard sometimes to locate an appropriate FAQ.

Street you are driving on Partie deux
Often I am on highway that is part of several named routes.
In my town we have SE Third street, SR17 and SR94. I had borrowed a Magellan that displayed all three names while not in navigation mode. I can't remember the model number. That was the only feature that I liked on that brand.

Reporting Errors
I assume this has been asked, but couldn't find it easily by searching, who do we contact concerning a unit (Nuvi 50LM) making a mistake?
As I am still "playing around", I had selected a golf course. The unit had it where it belonged, the map was accurate and it was giving me correct "text" directions, I-71 to Route 82.

Lancaster PA

Federal Appeals Court Calls Visual Speed Estimate Absurd
Police officer should be physics teacher since there are good in visual estimation. Physics rule to calculate speed of an object the formula is Avg speed= distance travel/ time of travel. Not based on visual estimate maybe I should used this argument with my high school physics teacher.
