Maybe you can share the last place your GPS took you and if you encountered any problems, or if you used it to seek out special places to go (like Thai Food, ice cream shoppes, etc.).

Please BACKUP - not just your device, but also your computer

In a headline from a tech newsletter I get each morning:

• Uber has hired a piracy expert to investigate its data privacy practices following the company's public relations fiasco. Brett Molina from USA Today reports.

My guess is they want to see how much more personal data they can get from all the smartphones with their app.

Well, winter is actually everywhere

Now it can get pretty cold up here (-24C or -11F on Saturday), but we only have a few centimeters of snow. The media is reporting that areas around Buffalo got 5 feet of snow in one dump! The media is also reporting that there were freezing temperature in EVERY state - including Hawaii.

Yikes - it is only November!

safety takes a back seat to revenue, tell me it isn't so.

Cities should have brain stormed better ways to generate extra money (stadium concerts, fesivals, water parks, ect) without robotic ploys to bankroll themselves.

Let me be the first to through out a Happy Veteran's Day to all our vets. Without you men and women, we would not enjoy the freedom that we enjoy today. There is, and will always be, a rivalry between the services; but when it comes down to it, all vets will stand together. It is one big club and I am proud to be a part of it.
