Up till now I have not seen Alleys.
I normally park in garage on the alley, behind the house. It is not labeled, but it's there....

I noticed the alley is now on map.... I never noticed it before. Prior to this map it would look like I turned off road.

Can Garmin Express download new maps to be used in either Map Source and/or Base Camp? And if so where is that option.

Hi nice forum. New to this POI stuff. I was wondering if there is any map that will give me info on any givin lake I would drive by just by touching the map on the gps screen
Not look for a topo of the lake just like max depth and fish species.

Does the BC 20 work with the Garmin 3597LTMHD? If so, how do I set it up? And if it is not currently supported, does anyone know if or when it will be?

After the express program said it did not recognise my device C330 I tried the Map updater V3.3.3, for 4 hours it has been "preparing maps".
But if I try to close the Updater, it tells me the device may become "unusable"

Is there a way to stop the program with out making the device unusable?

I have Topo 2008 maps but the last time I loaded it I ran a copy of mapsource and it loaded with the install. Somehow tha version of mapsource became disconnected with the Topo maps. I know there is a registry hack that will add them to the product list but I forgot what it is. I've done it before. Does anyone have any ideas?

I noticed today the recommended route was denoted by a light blue shading (instead of the normal pink) for the bulk of the trip. It appeared as if the light blue might have been overlaid on top of the pink and, at times, almost seemed as if it was side-by-side.

Are there any 3rd party apps that can be downloaded then unpacked onto the GPS? The 3597 has some built-in within an "apps" menu, but there is no app store, so I am trying to find interesting and useful apps.

I am also trying to find a way to connect the Automatic Link to my GPS so it shows the driving data on the screen like EcoRoute would, but with the devices I already have.

Did anyone else notice that shopping centers are now outlined with "railroad markings" where the buildings are and the POIs are centered in the outlines?

Watch out when removing Garmin Express with Revo Uninstaller Pro. I did that and scanned for leftovers and did a delete. It deleted everything Garmin. Apparently Garmin Express invades everything Garmin. MapSource, BaseCamp, Webupdater, ETC. I never had this problem with any program before. I had to do a recovery and then uninstall Garmin Express. I had to leave the other garbage it left behind.

Updated nuvi 2595 maps to 2014.40 using GE successfully but lost my voice files and my voice command. Using GE, I updated my voice files to get it to work but freezes on me. I have to stop/close/interrupt the update (with a warning) and so I can try to update again. Big mistake! Now my nuvi will not start, it will only get to loading maps and freezes. Tried to reset but to no avail.

I've looked through the FAQs, but didn't see (or missed) this question. So, if it's there, please direct me to it.

I have 1 GPS and 2 PCs (Win7 & WinXP) both with BaseCamp installed. I use Map Updater to update the maps (I have read the other posts and already have V3.3.3 on both PCs).

Can any one tell me why my new, (refurbished), 2597 does not zoom in and out at 58 and 45 mph? All three of my previous units did. I've done a reset and it still doesn't zoom automatically.

I have the 2014.20 Garmin map on SD card,before I update to the New 2014.40 I would like to know what does Garmin change on the New Version, I know Garmin is a company they the care about making money,and don"t you wish they would tell you what did they change from the older version to the new one?

I'm a recent convert to the Garmin line after years of using TomToms. I recently took my new 2595 on a trip and was surprised at the lack of visibility around upcoming towns/cities. I would expect these to be noted on the route ahead but more often than not I didn't find any evidence of the town or city I was in when viewing my nuvi 2595.

I thought I'd start a new thread for those that are still having issues with both MapUpdater and Garmin Express not working poperly for the 2014.40 map download. I prefer using MapUpdater and WebUpdater.

After numerous attempts in failed downloads of 2014.40 using MapUpdater V3.2.2 I downloaded the just released V3.3.3 and am happy to report the ability to download 2014.40 is now working.

Hello friends, I was wondering if Nuvi 3597 handles mp3 alert files? or I have to use wav files? I will appreciate your help.

Anyone know when Garmin will announce the "full" 2014 automotive line, other than the Garmin Essentials line of products?

anyone got a thought why my nuvi won't turn off when shuting of the car ignition switch. just started all of a sudden. screen gets a little dim but that it. also not getting wav files to install with POIs. thinking could be me on the wav and POIs but got me stumped on not shutting down when disconnecting the power.
