Garmin North American 2016.10 Map Update

Well, someone had to start it! 
Based on prior years history shown here: http://forums.gpsreview.net/discussion/17527/redirect//p1 the new map update release should be imminent but, then again, the last update was about six weeks later than usual.

Why do you guys post so far in advanced for a map release?
The map for the same time frame for Map 2015.10, was released May 15, 2014. Using the logic that the 2016.10 map would be released around the same approximate time, this thread anticipated the release of 2016.10 more than two months ago.

I guess it's safe to assume that Garmin will release map updates about every 120 days from now on...until they drop it back to twice a year next, and once a year later on.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 2 for the release of map update 2016.20.

Wonder if Garmin will change the suffix of their map updates (e.g. .10, .20, .30 & .40)?
My guess is that Garmin will number the updates in the same way as usual but with only three updates/year, Garmin will leave off the 20XX.40 iteration.

2016 update
Garmin express just updated my map to 2016.10 today.
I just checked and it said an update was available. When I opened it and connected my Nuvi, it went into update.
It only took me about 20 min. (I have a pretty fast router)
