Frustrated nuvi 855 poi pobs

To make a long story short i have a nuvi 855 if i want to install a new POI and use the POI loader to load it, it erases all of my other POI's. I dont get it why would it do this?Or is this just me and Im doing something wrong? Doesnt make sense??

That is how it works.You have to load them all at one time.It overwrites the existing pois.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25721 for custom pois.Now you can use the renaming method to work around this see http://www.poi-factory.com/node/8779 .That way will allow the files you renamed not to be overwritten

Thanks I cant believe thats the way they have it work, especially when there is so many POIs created everyday. I guess save all your pois and back them up.

If you are loading files with alerts and having to use manual mode for poiloader which is a hassle.You may want to look at building your alerts into the files using gpx files.That way you can run poiloader in express mode.See http://www.poi-factory.com/node/28521
