Yes, indeed, my nuvi 855 is updating as we speak.

Remember that you need to click the "Install Options" button if you want any or all of the following:

- Full or reduced map coverage--if reduced, you choose which reduction you want.

- install to computer as well as to GPS.

- when installing to computer and want to select a installation directory.

- if you want the installation files downloaded to be saved for multiple GPS updating without the need to re-download.

Anyone recall if Garmin generally releases in the morning?

When I first saw mention of it here - went to MyGarmin - wasn't available... checked again moments ago - there it was.

Did not take too long, good to go.

I guess the servers are getting hit hard now. An hour and 40 minutes, and I'm only at 50%. It says 50 minutes to go...

Downloaded the update for three of my units. Using two computers, it only took about 1 hour for all three to be installed on computer and my units.

I've updated my computer and nuvi 855 and did a quick test. So far, the computer and Mapsource are working well with 2011.30 and on the road, the nuvi does, too.

I did a quick check of the file size of the .jcv file in 2011.30 and compared it to the previous 2011.20. The file size went from 48086KB to 48200KB on my 855, about a 0.2% increase. Assuming that this is the file with graphics for the Junction View feature of some nuvis, my guess is that very few new junctions have been added.

Has anyone found any previous errors that are corrected in the update? Has anyone found any new streets, roads, highways or Interstate alterations/changes in the update?

download and installed mine. they didn't have my area in it yet. google maps does.

Downloading the lower 48&PR. Tried downloading US & Canada but not enough room on device. Have deleted tracks and personal POI's on the gps but still does not have enough room. Any ideas?

on my 1490t MY DASHBOARD states that theres a new map update but when i click on the option the latest map is not there

I don't see it shown as available for the 1450 yet. Has any 1450 owner out there see anything different?

Here's an update on the availability of a map update for the 1450. I went into myDashboard where a message says that there is, in fact, an update available as part of my lifetime subscription. When I clicked "update now," I was taken back to the page that shows past and future updates and there still is no update available for the 1450. I wouldn't be surprised if when I check back in a couple of hours the update will be there.

I have a 1490. Said there was an update available. Down loaded for over two hours and completed, but the unit and mapsource didn't update.

It's there for my 660.

For all of you that logon to your myGarmin accounts and don't see 2011.30 available just select "download again" for the 2011.20 maps currently on your GPS.

This will begin the download process and at a point in that process you will see that it is, in fact, 2011.30 that is being downloaded.

About two or three updates ago I had to delete the old map on my unit before there was enough room to put the new map on. You probably should backup your current map from your unit first but I had no issue after deleting.

Try backing up then deleting voices and/or vehicles...

text, and help files that you don't need.

Didn't work for my 775t.... no 2011.30 maps.

I downloaded it this morning for my 775T. Works just fine, too. I have the LT map updates, fyi.

Downloaded it to my 1450 and it is working great.

The new maps also installed a .NET update, and had a checkbox that said 'leave installation files on my computer' under advanced options (was that there last time?).

Installing now as I'm typing this....

It may need the .NET 3.5 SP1 for MapSource, if you didn't have it.

Update. Map installed, the new road in my neighborhood is now on the map and other small updates I have seen so far.

May I ask - why all the excitement? It sounds like it's Christmas for 1st graders! Have any of you actually seen any changes? What am I missing? Just curious............

I have seen quite a few changes for my area in this map version.

Besides, being child-like is not a bad thing!

What do you see that wasn't their from the last update only, what, 4 or so months ago?

Newer sub-div's, roads, roundabouts, etc. I can only speak to the updates I see here.

I finally got the new maps installed and working, but, man, it took a loooong time from start to finish.
My first attempt resulted in a message that I had insufficient space in the GPSr, so I deleted EVERYTHING that I considered non-essential. At that point I took the time to make sure that I hadn't deleted something that I shouldn't have. Everything worked - I was still at the prior map level and was running a skeleton unit.
Then I made a timy mistake. The update process asked me if I wanted ALL of North America and I mistakenly said yes. Well, FOUR-AND-A-HALF hours later, I've got a pretty cool GPSr. I can get to Canada and the Caribbean islands. So I did a cool thing for the wrong reason. I can live with that.

I'm just wondering if anyone recieved an email from Garmin regarding this update? I didn't nor have ever in the past.
