Number of times a warning repeats

The default for speed cameras is zero as in no movement. Anything other than not moving will trigger the "Urgent" alert which is a repeating alert.

If you set a default speed, the unit will only alert once until you exceed that speed. The easiest way is to include the speed in the file name - Speed_Cameras25.csv will set a default speed of 25. The other methods are to use the @ symbol in each record with a speed (@65) or set the speed using POI Loader in manual.

You can change from continuous alert to single alert.

Select Tools>Settings>Proximity Points>Proximity Alerts>Audio.

My 760 doesn't have an "Audio" option under "Proximity Alerts". Too bad. I'm always annoyed by that bit of overzealousness on the part of my GPS.

Main point of course is that I guess whether you have this option depends on what model you have.

well I dont have the slightest of idea.
For my unit I have voice file which has only one time alert, My audio option is also set for single prompt, I have set the distance instead of speed limit for RED light camera. Inspite of all these measures my units sometime prompts 2times, some times 3 times, some time 4 time,
I always feel like of unit is feeling lazy it would prompt once. If its happy prompts 4 times...

My unit is set for single alerts and many times it is a single alert. I get multiple alerts for the same location when in urban areas because of traffic lights. Every time you stop moving and then restart, the unit again alerts.

I thought the alert only let you know once. Yesterday, first time I had driven through a red light alert. When I was passing through without stopping, it said once. I gave it another test. This time, I had to wait for the red light, it kept repeating (not non-stop talking, it is like saying, then stop for about 5 sec, then saying) the warning until I moved for the green light.

apparently the 765T doesn't even have the option to set proximity alerts....... not that I can find anyway. that sux!!

Kevenater, Proximity alerts are included with the Custom POI feature. Search this site and you will find lots of information on using proximity alerts on your 765T.

When loading the red light camera file, I set the alert distance in manual in PoiLoader at 600 feet, about half the automatic distance. This is sufficient because the usual traffic speed is 40 - 50 and no higher. I get one alert at 600 feet and another at about 150 feet. In stop-and-go traffic there is another alert when you start going forward.

The red light camera file works perfectly. Contributors all over the country and Miss POI have done a lot of hard work to make it that way.

The 765 is just like my 760. All the info you need is contained in this website including playing an .mp3 for an alert rather than the chime.
