Nuvi price is dropping fast.

It is the time!

They were sold at a loptop price (350 $450-$550; 360 $550-650).

Since the "generic" GPS (such as MIO C310X) have been sold for under $200. The pressure is building up. Recently, Costco started selling 350 for $350, Amerzon is following. Last time I checked, a 360 is for ~$460. Another $50 drop will make these units more reasonablly priced.

Costco has the Nuvi 660 on sale for $499 plus shippng and handling.

Got Nuvi 660 from Costco for $542.10 w/ tax & shipping

If you find someone with Costco membership, request him to buy one for you (I did that).

And If you don't, you can still become member of Costco in $50.00 that is still better if you are paying over $600. Later you can enjoy the Costco membership savings for more things too. Also per best of my knowledge, Costco doesn't charge restocking fee in case you need a return.

The deal is ending on June 11, 2007.

Better in my pocket than theirs. You gotta love Amazon.com

buydig.com - good choice

I got my nuvi 370 from buydig.com too. I watched prices everywhere for about 2 months. buydig was always among the lowest priced and they are better business bureau rated as a good company (check them at bbb.com). I got what I ordered, shipped for free and it arrived super fast. I would recommend anyone looking to buy to check them out.

Virtually every piece of high hech hardware I've ever purchased has only lasted a year before the company that produced it, dropped the product or went out of business.

I got myself a Nuvi 350 a few weeks ago.... Look out.

New Nuvi's with v2008 Software can be identified on the box.

Garmin told me this morning that you can tell if the device has Version 2008 software in it by looking at the barcode. It will say v2008 vertically on the left side.

I called a few online dealers to see if they had a 680 with v2008. They have no idea. Everyone thinks v9 is the next version.

Anyone Think a New GARMIN Model Will Be Coming Soon?

Maybe something a click fancier than the Nuvi 680?

Garmin must be reading all of our suggestions, I hope.
How often do they release new high end models? The 200 series just came out, so.... any educated guesses??

Man, now I can't find it!

I just saw the 650 and the pre-sale of the 750 for $420 ea.

660 price still all over the map...

That is an amazing price.

I just checked pricegrabber and out of 65 merchants listed, the lowest was still $515 + S/H...and 8 (yes, 8) merchants - including DELL - are still selling for $799. I guess some people are paying that price? Otherwise, these merchants would be lowering the price to unoad 660 inventory for 7xx.

Multiple waypoints. Route optimizing. And a Track-log...so yes, it's going to be that much different, and better, IMNSHO....
