How did you get Circuit City to match internet prices? It states on their website at http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/lookLearn.do?cat=-13318&edOid... by looking at the second to last question that they do not match internet prices.

I purchased a new Nuvi 650 for 550 this past week. The price seems to drop with every new model added.

Nuvi 660 from Amazon.com this week for $594 including next day delivery and $30 discount for getting one of their fancy amazon.com Visas and using it for the first time. I LOVE IT!!!

Got my Nuvi 650 from Fry's Electronics for $449. Can't believe how cool it is! The screen is much more sunlight readable than the Nuvi 3x0. No bluetooth though, but I decided that wasn't so important to me, although I could see that being a nice feature.

Is the 650 or 660 that much better than the 370 that Costco carries for $579?

From what I have been reading, the 370 is the same as the 360, except it has European maps on it instead of North America.
It looks to me like the biggest difference in the 300 series and the 600 series is the size of the screen, and the 600's have the FM Modulator in them.

I believe the 370 includes North America AND Europe maps. Of course, if you aren't planning on a trip to Europe, I guess it's overkill. Getting a bigger screen with better resolution would be preferred over European maps you won't use.

Glad someone else picked up that one for a spare. At that price I couldn't say no. It really is awesome. I have the 680, too, and bought this one as a bluetoothless alternative for my Jeep. And I consider bluetooth on a GPS a rather pointless feature given the weak speakers, distance the microphone is going to be mounted from you, etc. I am not going to shell out an extra $100 to have it integrated into a device that will age, become outdated, and take my bluetooth investment to the grave with it.

Sounds like a great price. I'm always a little skeptical about Fry's since a majority of there item seem to be refurbished but this may be an exception. Also, the 360 is North America OR Europe maps, the 370 includes North America AND Europe maps.

Just got my nuvi 650 (no bluetooth, no traffic alerts) on eBay from a high-volume seller for the "buy-it-now" price (no bidding, immediate purchase) of $554 delivered. Shipping was about 10-12 bux of the total price. Unit was new in box (not re-furb, not used) and it works great! Love the bigger 4.3 inch wide screen, I've already loaded POI's for red light cams and every casino in north America as well as 19 top-rated happy hour locations in my area. I first did a software update off the Garmin website which evidently corrected some minor obscure verbal announcements. The 660 goes for at least $60 - $65 more than my 650 model, and I didn't think I needed or would miss bluetooth nor do I want live traffic reports. Like a lot of cool tech toys that have been out a year: there's now a BIG disparity between the manufacturer's price and the online "street" price which always seems to be dropping fast. Case in point: I just saw my new toy being sold on Frys.com for about $100 less than I paid a week ago...Damn!

So true....if we could only wait a little longer..lol, the price always goes down.

Three weeks ago I purchased my first GPS from Best Buy. The StreetPilot 2720, new in the box for $249. What a deal, I think. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO, and the Nuvi prices are dropping like bricks. I found the Nuvi 680 at Buydig.com for $682.49, no tax or shipping this evening. Said "new release". What's that?

This GPS stuff is great. Other than the 2720 being a little big, no battery, and a speaker in the cord, is there any functional reason to upgrade? Garmin tells me a new update for the mapping software is coming in August. Worth $70?

I sent my C550 back to Amazon.com and bought a Nuvi360. It has just been delivered at work, so I can get it after lunch!

I would get it!!! I can only buy from Best Buy b/c I have already bought Nuvi 350 and the next choice I had was c550 which has bluetooth, but is bulky. Nuvi 360 is going to be awesome...But I have others say that the implementation of Bluetooth in 360 is not that gr8.

Fry's Electronic has a special ad section in the San Jose Mercury newspaper on Fridays. The ad list the Nuvi 350 for $499.99 less $150 (sale) => $350.

I purchased my Nuvi months earlier at a much higher price.

I got mine at Fry's.....660 for $599.99. It was on Ad. during the weekend. I suggest to check on the weekend ads if you are shopping for one.

I can understand looking for the best possible price when buying, but waiting for the price to bottom out sure wouldn't work for me or I never would have bought my first computer with 8K ram (yes, K) and a cassette for data storage (no hard drives yet). And to think I paid 800 bucks for it!! Hmmmmm, maybe I should have waited!!

My phone is not on the list of supported phones and it works perfectly with my Zumo.

Some people have taken their GPSr to the cell phone store when buy a new phone to see if the two will work together.

I just purchased a nuvi 650 for $449 (normally $699) from a retail store with a 3 year extended warranty. A one day sale of $250 off normal price, I love this thing, it is amazing!

21st of May I ordered a 660 from BuyDig, price with 3 day delivery was $597.92. It was in my hands Friday the 25th. This thing is the nicest gps I have had so far. Miss the tracklog though.....
I noticed that today the same 660 is on BuyDigs site for 607.49 and add to that the same 7.95 3 day shipping.. so I it was $17 less for me last week.

Several local retail outlets wanted $999.99 for the new Garmin Nuvi 680. I purchased it on line a few weeks ago for $769.99, including shipping. It got to me in two days by UPS ground. Blue Tooth, MP3, and anything else you can think of. I love this thing!

You can buy the Nuvi 680 online only from Sams.com. The price is $696.86 plus your local tax, and from 6 to 10 bucks to ship it, depending on where it is shipped to.

If you're patient and observant, you can pick one up on Ebay for even less. I even saw the Nuvi 350 on Amazon for $300 once. Just keep looking. Prices are dropping. I almost wish I would have waited, but I got my Nuvi 680 for under $600 shipped.

Costco just included the Nuvi 660 in there latest coupon book. I don't have it in front of me but with the coupon the 660 is under $600.

You missed it. I believe it was for the month of March. Their first batch sold out in like four days. I managed to get mine around the 15th.

You are correct tjablons... The summer "Costco Member Passport" flyer is in my hands and the Nuvi 660 is priced $749.99 online only and for one week (June 4 to June 10, 2007) they are offering a coupon that will discount the price by $150.00. That would be $599.99. The item number is #199368 and since this in an online only offer, I'm thinking you won't even need the coupon, just that you order it within the time alloted and are a Costco member.

I got the above-mentioned Costco coupon in the mail the other day. For grins, I checked out the Costco website directly. Despite the upcoming coupon for $599, the Nuvi 660 is on sale now for $499 (no coupon required). I ordered mine yesterday.
