At $85 a ticket, the speed cameras could generate a lot of money for the city of Dayton but city officials stress that this is not the reason why they were installed.
To paraphrase an old carpet salesman, "We don't care about making money, we just love to slow down speeders..."

Latest speed camera d.b. missing cameras
The latest POI speed camera file seems to be missing two speed cameras that I frequently pass.
New Hampshire Avenue and Jackson Road - in front of a middle school.
And another one on New Hampshire Avenue about a mile north of the Maryland - Washington DC border.
My GPS is no longer warning me about these, and I can not find them in the POI factory csv file.

PG County, MD Speed Cameras
PG County, MD was given permission in 2009 to install speed cameras, however this not implemented by the previous County Executive. The current County Executive has resurrected the idea. Details are here:

Another Mobile Speed Camera Along US1 in College Park MD
College Park has added a third mobile speed camera along US1 (Baltimore Ave). This one is Northbound between Guilford Rd and Calvert St (N38.97795 W76.93782). Set to ticket at 12mph above the 30mph speed limit. Although this is a mobile speed camera, College Park rairly moves them.

Two new Pima County Speed Cams (Tucson)
I sent the one on La Cholla south of Curtis in to Miss POI several weeks ago, dose not show on this weeks update. Has some got the one on the eastside yet? I believe they went active last week, they had them set to take pics but not ticket yet.
The one on La Cholla should be a money maker, a bar a few 100" away and walmart in the other direction, lol

Red light cameras in Coral Springs, FL
The city of Coral Springs is installing red light cameras all over the place, alot of them are along University drive. I will post specific intersections later on. In the meantime, I am waiting to get my PhotoBlocker spray from Amazon.
