I am still researching this location. It was reported as inactivated back in June of this year.

Here's a question re: the beam from the speed camera vs that from the radar guns used by law enforcement jurisdictions, (ie, x, k, ka etc.) If the poi speed camera download can detect speed camera locations, is it possible it may also detect the beam from a radar gun, or is the radar a different frequency?

The Speed cameras in the file are not detecting the actual beam of the gun. They are being detected on the physical location (latitude and longitude).
