Garmin talk

I have a Nuvi 785T and just loaded a bunch of POI icons. They all are green. Does any one else have this issue and do you know how to fix it? I also tried loading them onto my Nuvi 660 and they are fine.

Does anyone know if there is a way to split screen the junction view so that on one side it shows the map and route you are driving and it gives you the lane assist and on the other side it shows the junction view. On the Garmin international models they are split screen on the US models they are full screen.

The default colors are blue for water, green for park, white for land. I used to have a 660, on which land is yellow. I got used to the 660's color scheme.

Last weekend I updated my Nuvi 780 to the latest software and refreshed to the 2010 map. I am not sure which action changed the routes I am given but I have not been very pleased.

So far, I have been using the routes in my hometown (Austin TX) and the decisions from the Nuvi are rather strange. Prior to the upgrades, I was rather pleased.

How's the voice recognition on this model? Excellent, good or bad?

I have a Nuvi 680 and when I go to the "average" screen (the one you get when you hit the speed button in the lower left hand corner). It currently shows overall avg., moving avg., Max avg., Stopped, but the total time and the moving time are blank.

My fiance' 650 shows has all fields showing data, even when stopped or in active use mode.

Why is this?

Would anyone know who determines which features are available from MSN on a Garmin nüvi receiver? Would it be the Garmin firmware/software, or MSN? I am refering to traffic, weather, gas prices, etc.

I have a Nuvi 660 and am considering buying a Nuvi 765T. My question is if there are any real differences in the mapping and waypoints.

Considering the 755T. Looks to have all the features I would like. Are there any problems with this unit?

I see how to send a destination or single place to the GPS via the "send" options. But when I make a route it no longer gives that choice. I searched but didn't find the answer. A little help please. Thanks POI'ers.

Is there a way, when running a "simulated" trip, that you can speed up the running time... either that or is there a way to get the gps to give you a text version of the trip, sort of like printing one out from mapquest with turn by turn and mileage to destination?

Gamin Nuvi 755t

This has been a great site for me to extend the use of my simple Garmin 350. You find very quickly that you want to keep the POI files up to date.

Would it be possible to provide a listing of the POI files by date, if you choose, newest first? That way you could see which files have been updated recently & which you may wish to download.

Does anyone have a link to someplace selling the 2010 map updates on DVD? Also, would it be less expensive if I just purchased the update to my nuvi 660 from Garmin rather that the entire maps on DVD?

I've noticed my Garmin Nuvi (with last year's maps) does not list Costco locations in the database. Has anyone created a POI list of Costco locations around the country? Sometimes when on vacation, I find that I could use something I know Costco sells, but I have a hard time finding the nearest store without an internet connection.

I am trying to load the updated Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and keep getting an error message about line one. Anyone else having this problem? The error is "Data format error on line one".
