Garmin 855 $299 at Costco

There is a $200 price break at Costco and Costco.com. Not sure if there are enough bells and whistles over and above my 760, but it has me looking........

This was not suppose to be

This was not suppose to be offered until May 11th, but it started today. Sounds like a pretty good deal but you have to remember that it does not include EcoRoute, or an MP3 player and if you want traffic, you will have to invest another $100 or so for an FM or MSN traffic receiver,as they are optional. Still, not a bad price.

Gerry, all above is correct, with the exception of an MP3 Player. The Nuvi 855 does have an MP3 player. Also bluetooth in NOT available on the Nuvi 855.

Be well,

OOPs, sorry, I meant the bluetooth. You are correct,it does have the mp3 player.

ecoRoute, Features

Its strange I have to Costco connection catalog and it says it has EcoRoute but at Garmin the 800 series isn't listed as a compatible device. But it does say sale date it from 5/1 to 5/31. The cool thing about this unit is that it has a user replaceable battery, voice recognition. This unit is the low end of features. I would recommend the Nuvi 785T. I just upgraded and am still in the return period but I would not return it for this even though its cheaper than what I paid for mine. It also has a microSD card instead of regular SD. I prefer SD over micoSD.

Traffic

Too bad lifetime traffic is not included...
