Can anyone please tell me how do I get Jill's Voice in Garmin 265WT? I have Samantha, but would love Jill!!! Help in the matter highly appreciated!

I have a few red light cameras loaded in my 265WT that I pass each day on my way to work. When I approach the intersection from the south I get an auditble alert. When I approach the same intersection from the west I get the same audible alert and the camera name pops up on the screen in a grey rectangular box. Can anyone tell me why I only get the camera name from one direction.

Has anyone had any experience, or have any comments about the Nuvi Saver's Guide?

I can get the 260w for about $160 and was wondering how good is it compared to the others in the 2__ series. Is the 260 better than the 255w for example?? Any feedback is good feedback. Thanks.....

i cant get my garmin to recognize a map i downloaded from my mapquest...do i have to make it named a certain filename to get it recognized??/

I have a nuvi 350 with a TourGuide csv sent for McCDonalds. I used the Kentucky Derby sound with the continous auto play option and it drove my wife crazy when we were in urban areas. I switched to single tone and all I get is a songle tone. What I wanted was the custom sound, Derby, just once.

I don't have a snowmo and haven't tried these maps out, but it looks interesting. If you go to the site, you can see what trails are offered.

How do I stop my nuvi 760 from asking me if I want to install my memory card files to the unit every time I turn it on.

Has anyone been able to download the new MSN Direct update? I received a message about it on my Nuvi this am and went to the website to obtain more info. It said to use the webupdater which I did and the update is not there, I am assuming it has not been released yet.

I just subscribed and downloaded a number of custom POI from the POI Factory. I wanted to see if the McDonalds inside the local Walmart was there.

OK, I know that many of you will be shaking your heads with this one but I can't seem to find an answer. So here goes: what the "heck" is a waypoint? My 350 apparently has the capability of 500-waypoints but I have no idea what that means.

Ok, I got my active member status, so I downloaded the red light camera file. Do I need to unzip this file, or will POI Loader do it on it's own?? Also, just to clarify, do I need to rename the bmp & mp3 files I downloaded from POI Factory to RED LIGHT CAMERA?

On my Nuvi 255w there is a folder called TEXT (from C:/blah blah blah) and when i open it up there are different gtt files?

Are these the same as fonts and can we make our own? To me the text, like street names, etc 'boring' and like to change this up...

I had to recently upgrade to a 765t (because the 265wt didn't have the ability to show minutes remaining to destination).

I've noticed something HUGE between the two that is really frustrating me.

In 3D view, the 265wt gives you 5 levels of detail where the 765T only gives you 3.

I have seen older threads for some Garmin units that allow a way to eliminate the screen that comes up asking if you want to load the custom POI's on the Garmin?? If I wanted it on the Garmin, I would place it there! Is there any way to eliminate the screen that comes up every time I boot the Garmin? Any hacks?

Well, I'm running the Microsoft Windows 7 beta ... and I can report that my Garmin NUVI works just fine.

I ran Webupdater (just to see if it would work) ... my unit was already up to date ... so I selected a previously deleted language TTS file. I also messed around with Mapsource.

Everything ran just fine.

I discovered that searching built-in POIs for the Fuel category also returns Convenience Stores mixed into the results.

For the stores returned in the Fuel search, Mapsource shows their category as "Shopping", and sub-category as "Convenience". Perhaps Garmin thinks food from 7-Eleven stores will also give you gas?

I understand that I need to convert the mp3 file to wav for it to be put on my 330C. Can anyone advise me what software I need to get and if there is any additional programs I will need to.
