Loading POIs on your Nuvi 885T
Just got my 885T two days ago, and this took me 3+ hours to figure out. Apparently POIs loaded to the unit will not display properly until after I do a reset by taking out and putting back the battery of the unit.
Question to the other 8xx series owners: are you doing the same thing?

FYI: If your Nuvi 885t is Freezing up while turning it
on or while the map loads and hangs on initial startup
Then:
Go to Garmin.com
Download the latest update to rectify this issue.
Note: It will take up to 5 minutes for your unit(Nuvi) to communicate with your PC.

They lied - Surprise
Hello everybody..... I was one of those guys with a 7x5 series unit who was unlucky enough to have my brand new gps shut down while I was nearly 500 miles from home last month. After getting home, I talked to a garmin rep, not once, but twice and was told to send it back to them and that they would send me a brand new unit since my unit was still"new".

Nuvi 760 with white line
I have a nuvi 760 that has a thin white line running from left to right across the screen about a half inch down from the top. I emailed Garmin and they had me do a master reset which did not help. I have emailed them back but was hoping that someone here could help me.

Oddity with my POI files.
I updated some of my POI files and now, when I go to Extras > Custom POI > DC-Attractions, for instance, I find two DC-attractions.
One is listed like this: ._DC-attractions
Other is listed like this: DC-Attractions.
Tap the screen for the first and get No Matches Found.
Tap the screen for the second and there are all the DC-Attractions, as they should be.

Mexico POI
I am trying to download The POI for Mexico and install them on my Zumo 550 as custom POIs. The file download alright and will unzip, but when I use POILOADER it will not show up in my custom file on zumo. I have world map and city nav 2009, plus mexico Atlas and Mexico map by garmin. What am I doing wrong?

Speed cameras POI DC, Maryland, and France , Switzerland
What is the easiest site to down load Speed cameras for DC, Maryland, and France , Switzerland.
and have my Garmin 670 or 775T only flash red and beep if I am over the speed limit when near a camera.
2 years ago I used the France date base found on the Garmin web site and it worked well.
I don't mine paying a fee if necessary, if that makes it easier.

Nuvi 205w Case
I just recently got my garmin 205w and was just on ebay looking for cases to protect it. I didnt really see any that held the gps, charger and mount though and I think this would be a really nice feature to hold the mount and charger along with the gps. Has anyone found any cases that do this? If so please let me know where you got it. Thanks! P.S.

navteq fm traffic in Rochester NY
I own a Garmin nuvi 205 and I have purchased the FM antenna/power cord. I do receive traffic in the currently supported areas. Yesterday morning (7/15/09) the traffic indicator was displayed on my unit while driving in Rochester. It showed two locations in Buffalo and one on the NY Thruway just east of Rochester.

765T tells me it's time to update the map!
OK, I bought a nuvi 765T on July 1. It came with NT 2010.10. So far, so good. A couple of days ago when I turned on the unit, I got the "Your map is more than a year old" screen before I could get the "Agree" screen. Very strange, I thought. Even stranger is that I got the same "Update" screen this evening when I turned on the computer.

Bread Crumbs
On the 885T it looks like Im leaving bread crumbs on the screen in the form of blue lines. Is there anyway to turn them off or clear them.
