POI-Loader - any way to automatically do manually for multiple files?

Just wondering if there is a way to run the equivalent of a macro when using the manual option within POI-loader. Rather than enter hit the alert radio button and enter a desired distance for each of my many POI files, is there a way to set this up automatically? Thanks for any constructive suggestions!

No you have to do one file

No you have to do one file at a time with poiloader. Some users use the re-name method for files that don't need updating a lot.I like to use Extra Poi Editor and build the alert into a gpx file.I just download the csv files to Extra Poi Editor then click on edit, replace field. In the field name use down arrow and select proximity. In new field value put number of feet I want for alert. Then click on replace all.Save file as a gpx file. Now the alerts are built in and I can run poiloader in the express mode.It works well if you don't have to update the files a lot.

You may want to also go to options then preference and set you unit you plan to use.Metric or Imperial.

If you put the distance in the name of the POI, an alert will be set at that distance when loaded automatically.

Numbers in a filename will set a speed alert for that speed -- not distance.

schmidwr. There is a way using TourGuide that you get set the alert from 1/4 to 1 1/4 mile and still use express mode.See this post and go to the 6 one down by Hornbyp http://www.poi-factory.com/node/7043

You Might want to look at

a free piece of software called Global Find.
Look at http://www.kgpsoftware.com then look under downloads. It works like the UNIX GREP command, except it works globally on every file in a folder. Also, it is a find and replace, so you would have to have a common string in every file that it could replace with your string.
