Garmin Express v7.16.1.0 now available.
Download problem fixed.(Maybe)

Downloading map to PC as I type.

Installed map no problems

Installed map no problems.

NT_2024_10 now shows up in Programs and Features. BaseCamp also sees map.

FYI. Already a thread posted earlier, two days ago, about 7.16.1.0 and a separate one on the maps which include the update of the map install to PC working.

Yes, I downloaded 7.16.1.0 when I saw your post.

But that version had a problem downloading the map to a PC.

I got a notice from GE today of a new update. Don't know why they did not up the revision number but today's update fixed the problem.

Are you talking about 7.16.0.0 that you were notified to update to 7.16.1.0? Garmin released 7.16.1.0 shortly after they released 7.16.0.0. There was a previous thread posted about 7.16.0.0: http://www.poi-factory.com/node/52922

The problem with installing maps to the PC apparently wasn't with the GE 7.16.1.0, instead it appears it was a problem on Garmin's end with the MD5 hash being mismatched. Garmin fixed it on their end and 7.16.1.0 was able to download the correct installer files and subsequently install the map to the PC. I did not have to update GE 7.16.1.0 to fix the map installer issue. Nor does GE 7.16.1.0 indicate a newer version is available, as of this post, for me.

Edit to add: In the Garmin support forum users indicated they were able to installed the maps to PC using Garmin Express 7.15.0.0 and 7.16.0.0 after Garmin fixed the issue on their end.

I stated what happened.

I downloaded 7.16.1.0 and then downloaded the 2024.10 map to both my 3957 and my DS76. The map downloaded to both GPS devices, but the map would not download to my PC.

Yesterday, I got a notice that GE stated that there was a new version available. It installed fine, but the version number did NOT change. It even deleted the GE icon from the desktop and reinstalled it. After that I was able to install the new map to the PC.

Edit: I did try to install the map to my PC before the D/L of GE yesterday, but it failed for both Garmins.
