I have the Nuvi 650. Under the navagation settings it has a choice for "Bus". I don't know how much of a difference that this makes in selecting the route, but we travel in a motorhome and I always use this setting.
My friend got the Nuvi 1300 and it does not have this option.
Do any of the current Nuvis have this option??
NUVI 350
NUVI 350 has it. Don't know the difference, since I don't drive either.
DriveSmart 65, NUVI2555LMT, (NUVI350 is Now Retired)
465
The nuvi 465 is the only one in the current lineup that Garmin acknowledges as "truck friendly".
Alan - Android Auto, DriveLuxe 51LMT-S, DriveLuxe 50LMTHD, Nuvi 3597LMTHD, Oregon 550T, Nuvi 855, Nuvi 755T, Lowrance Endura Sierra, Bosch Nyon
I have a Dezl 770
Bought on Amazon refurbished a few years back. Great for different products/loads. I carry gas and diesel so being able to put in weight, length, height and hazmat of truck is nice. I honestly don't use it as much anymore due to the number of cities with weight restrictions on roads which don't apply for local deliveries. Using any GPS that uses weight/height as a factor in routing could effect your route big time.
Garmin 1090 for RVs
Check out the Garmin RV 1090, 10" RV Navigator, Edge-to-Edge Display.
It has a lot of specific RV features. Don't buy the 8" or 7" model. You will be totally spoiled by the 10". Learn about it you will buy it. As with any GPS, don't toss your map. We check Google maps while still in camp and compare. Occasionally decide to go our own way and let Garmin recalculate.
I waited for a sale and saved a lot. I checked every week until it came up on sale.

Also, note that on the left side of the webpage you can narrow it down by screen size and even select previous models.
