As expected, there are no release notes for this. The Garmin Mac and PC forums with release notes are now 5 months old and are for GE version 7.1.x.

I think I'll wait till there is a new map out. Trying to keep up with Garmins nonsense is a waste of time for most of the folk on this forum. IMO
Reminds me of days of old when a JAVA update came every other day.

Mine was still checked and the older version being replaced was, of course, unchecked.

I don't know what the differences are, but the Mac Version has never set the check mark if it wasn't set in the previous version. It seems to use the previous preference setting for each new install.
